just landed back in the uk from holiday on wed 15th and got in the cougs to start the journey home from the airport.
all was fine until about halfway home i heard a funny sound coming from the drivers side wheel so pulled over checked it out everything seemed fine, carried on my journey and had just pulled off the motorway and got onto a quiet road then BANG all four bolts sheered off and im grinding on my disk to a stop at the side of the road, it took 2 hours for recovery to arrive and the cost to fix it im dreading, was told by recovery had i been doing 80-90mph on the motorway i would have never controlled it and would have rolled it, just what i need right now after losing my job.
will keep you updated on the repair work and get some pics up later

Dang dude, my girlfriends mom had a similar experience. Her truck was handling weird so she asked someone to follow her to a shop to check it out so she was going slow down the interstate. Sure enough the drivers side back axle just broke in half. If she would have been going interstate speeds it would have been ugly. You were lucky man.

I've dropped 2 ball joints before. Both going under 10 Mph... But I've also been hit by lightning, shot at, and slammed into telephones poles .. what can ya do...

Similar thing happened on my friend's Ramcharger. When we stopped to look, 4 lugs were missing and the fifth was finger tight. If it weren't for the big 4x4 hub on the front wheels it would have come off on us (also on the highway).
