ok everybody, my trans in my cougar is about to take a dump... again, and im getting fed up with it..... so wut do i need to do to make that thing stronger, without spending more money than wut the car is worth? is it even possible? shoudl i just sell my cougar now and label it as a lost cause? i need some ansewers people! lol

How do you know it's about to take a dump? What is it doing exactly? How do you drive? Rough...smooth...ABUSIVE?
The standard upgrades are the differential and a clutch...but depending on what you want out of it and how much you want to spned you can get a few more things too.

you could go with a HMS bulldog 5speed, which is pretty much bulletproof, but that will run you about $2,500

I would like to know why he says his tranny is about to take a dump first before i would recommend something that pricey...

well ya you want to figure that out first but my suggestion would be good if you had an extra $2500 laying around

This is true. But if he had 2500 laying around i would tell him to do the basic 3L swap and put in a new Torsen himself :cool:
