Im just rapping up my LIM and UIM cleaning and found that my torque wrench only registers foot pounds... can someone confirm what the TQ spec in FT LBS would be please?

yes sir 72/12 not times silly

I did mine that way also. Be very careful, cuz foot pounds is 12 times less accurate, but it works.

Or you could just get the right tool for the job:

Not that expensive. ;)

The reason to get an inch-pounds torque wrench is because...almost any foot-pounds wrench will not be accurate at that low setting. In fact, I am surprised that 6 foot-pounds was actually a setting or marking on your wrench.

I'm not being too critical here because I plan on using the oil filter method...hand tighten till snug, then 1/4 turn ;) I am just saying, where the application is CRITICAL, use the right tool :)

6 foot pounds worked right for me, and it had that pre-marked

Most torque wrenches are not accurate but within a certain range. I don't recall the rule of thumb for it (I think it was a 1/4 of the range on the low end and 7/8 of the range up high become innacurate).

For the UIM bolts just hand tightening works fine. They are easy to snap if you go over spec.
