not sure if this is the best place to post this but....... i just recently bought a CF hood and it has some sun spots on it. is there any way to get rid of them??? i was thinking maybe clear coating the hood again might make them a little less noticable but im not sure if that will help. any info about how to get rid of them or make them less visable would be helpful. thanks

if i may ask, how long have u had the hood. I have had CF hood for a while and haven't had any spots yet. I am told that clear cloating it does up. But i really don't see how you would remove spots on carbon fiber unless you rebuild the carbon fiber itself and i HAVE NO CLUE how that is done.. lol,

Im not really understanding sun spots, you men the clearcoat is yellowing?
What cleaning products have you used on it?

I can't post pics at the moment, because i don't have a digital camera. But it's the clearcoat on the carbonfiber that is getting dull.... not yellow. It's almost like the clearcoat is becoming foggy (for lack of words) over the carbonfiber area. I tried doing a good wax job but it didn't help much. Sorry, having trouble explaining it, I'll try and get some pics up so you all can get the idea of what I'm doing my best to explain.

Something like that?
If you have it try Meguiars ScratchX, then polish, and wax.
Waxing does not do anything for it as waxing is just a way of protecting to paint or carbon fiber in this case. You need to clean the clear coat, people have found scratchX to work well with it.

Oh and on the polish dont use an aggressive polish, meguiars three step system would work fine.
