You might have to cut out material out so the VCT doesnt get obstructed. I'd just take your OEM cover and get it powder coated.

will it work though? i know i could just take the oem one off and paint/polish it but this guy is selling it for like $25 and i think it would be cheaper to buy this one.

If anything buy it for that amount & sell it yourself for double! Get some profit for it. Clean it up & sell for like $50-75 Online on Ebay.

Looks like I got lucky!
The used engine I purchased has an aluminum valve cover.
It came from a 99 Contour and I saw corrosion on it.
So, I gave it the scratch test and it's aluminum.
It's hard to tell the difference. They look exactly the same.
One way to tell is if the place where the throttle cable wears is corroded, then you have an aluminum valve cover.
I'll be getting mine powder coated along with the air pipes.

i too believe mine is aluminum...just cause it sure doesnt look like plastic where the trottle cable is rubbing...it is very silver looking..
i will be pulling mine to strip and polish...like the V6 guys and thier UIM's
