Ok, im tired of getting retarded comments directed to me. On this forum there are three types of people. People who know everything, people who think they do, and people completely new to something and confused. I'm sorry that I fall into this position. I ask a lot of questions because I'm trying to learn. I do search, I do read, but I am still confused so I ask questions to the people that I thought were here to help me. Instead, I get retarded comments from Nemesis, BBox, and others of the like. Why can you not just answer my question? If you know the answer it would be so much easier to just answer it instead of flaming and ruining a thread that could have helped someone else. There are so many variations in peoples vehicles. Just because one person has this set up, doesnt mean everyone does. What if I wanted to change a little bit of it up. I would like to know the exact outcome, not searching for an outcome CLOSELY related to it. I'm not sure how many threads Nemesis has ruined because he comes in and posts something stupid and me being new, and him being a regular, people laugh, go along, or whatever causing the thread to spiral. Why cant we be adults and just answer another mans question? Damn...

Just annoying when I ask a question and I get replies from him and takes the thread completely off subject. He needs to chill in the F/I section... geez

I think they are helping you by telling you to search. Theres lots of info on this site that can be accessed through the search button. BUT its not my place to tell you that i guess. Just try searching more!

if you cant find it here then it is on contour.org.
the sites have been around long enough that almost all questions regarding our platform have been discussed once already.

contour.org is a weird design... ha. I do try searching but I am still confused. I know very little about these cars, and like I said, just tryin to learn. Does it really annoy you to answer someones question?

I think the problem is that you jumped on the forum asking all these basic questions that are easily found by searching. Me? I don't mind trying to help out, but you decided to jump down my throat after I pointed out to you that you were posting in the wrong sections.
Maybe you should try and take a step back, read a little and then ask questions. That should keep the critics at bay a little more. Ignoring them works too.
Everyone was a newbie at some time and delt with a little search flaming so don't take it personal.

Thats the thing, I do take it personal. I haven't been here long enough to know how everyone acts. I cant see the person to read if hes joking or not. I didn't mean to jump down your throat about the forum locations, I just didnt understand how people could say put it here, and when I do, I get *****ed at for putting it there... get what im sayin?

I thought it was kinda funny that you had 3 posts in the wrong place in one night.
It kinda looked like you didnt want to search at all though. I know the search thing is a little hard to figure out that's why I asked if there was a how to.
Just go to the advance tab when searching and search BOTH 2.5 and 3.0 section when looking for info on engines. All the other sections are titled and should be easy enough to figure out. Try different key words. Add key words to narrow it down. For instance if looking for a comparison between 2.5 and 3.0 cams . Try Cams then cams 2.5 then cams 2.5 3.0 . It helps.
WHen your on CEG doing a search make sure you select the right section (IE 2.5 or 3.0). I always do both but it sucks cause you cant do both at the same time. ALSO make sure you change the search patter from ENTIRE PHRASE to either AND or OR . The entire phrase search looks for that working in that SPECIFIC order. So if you type ****ing crazy it only brings up posts with the phrase ****ing crazy and not any with crazy ****ing. I always use AND to help narrow it down some.
In short a lot of info is already out there and reading a little will help you understand a lot more than just asking questions and getting short answers.

Wow kid. Just wow. You're complete and utter proof that no good deed goes unpunished.
This is a free website. No one here is compensated in any way, shape or form for any kind of technical information they may provide. And, let me give you a clue here . . . you can probably count on one hand the number of people who frequent this website who "know everything". Almost everyone else picks their spots. Patience is a beyond wonderful thing. Most of the folks here work real jobs and can't be jacked in to The Matrix at will like I can. I certainly don't know everything about these cars. I certainly know very little about your mother effing slushbox or the cooler you want to put on it. So when I say that, and you continue to ask me the same questions over and over and over again, it gets just a little old.
GROW UP. People here will help you, if you ask intelligent questions that show you have taken more then half a second to try and find the answer yourself. Instead you ask **** like "How can I make my exhaust sound ricey so I can get Hondas to race me?" and "Can shops that don't work with SCT chips reflash my SCT chip?". If you use some common sense and think before you let your fingers fumble so clumsily across the keyboard, you'll see the VAST majority of the questions you have asked have already been answered.
Your own post here proves the futility of trying to help you. You want exact answers . . . about something that has never been done before! No one here is psychic, so if you set off on some road that no one has ever been down before guess what? You're on your own, Tonto.
There is not a single person here who will not help you within reason. But you don't want help, you want someone to hold your hand. That ain't gonna happen.
EDIT: P.S. Crying like a little ***** with a skinned knee isn't going to help your cause either. Its not wise to bite the hand that feeds.

Rodney said it best, the internet is a wonderful thing. If you can't find what you need here, search elsewhere. The people on this forum can be your best friends if you sound like you have done your research and still encountering issues. On the other hand, you will get flamed for looking like a jack@$$ and expecting everyone to help you. I personally haven't had this happen, except for when Fett told me that I destroyed the english language in a post a few months back. That opened my eyes, in that no one will take you seriously if you aren't serious yourself. Oh yes, and GRAMMAR (FETT:rofl: ) is very important, nobody wants to read a post that they have to decipher first.
So take a deep breath and relax, we all had to learn about this slushbox of a car.

We're all about helping members that show the desire to learn. But when you first started posting you were all over the place. Posts in wrong sections, not reading FAQ's that pointed you in the proper directions, expecting us to hold your hand through the process instead of researching what others have posted. You'd post one question reguarding some advanced engine work and then another n00b comment on exhausts and were coming off as the typical person with money to burn with no time to learn. ie, "mommy & daddy are paying for my stuff just tell me where to get it."
Every board has the members that just push to hard on newbies, this isn't something new on internets. It's serious bidness remember. I'm sure once you're established here you'll start too.
Some of the members have to be reminded that we just won't win anyone new if you are too hard on people.

I think everyone was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt until you made that a$$-hat post about wanting a ricey exhaust.
You're gonna have to work pretty hard to get over that.
I'd suggest doing a little research about the Ballad of AZBobbyBooshay. He jumped in hard as a newbie and burned every bridge he crossed. Now, about 2 years later, he's ALMOST back to being a normal, productive NECO member. Almost.

OR...
I can get the fart can and throw a fin on the back. Of course it wouldnt be functional because if it was, it would rip all 4 bolts holdin it in the trunk. :)

Okay I wasnt really going to post much tonight since Im tired and have to work in the morning, but ill say this...
I dont have a problem with new people, like someone said before, we all were new at one point or another. I still to this day have questions about something on the Cougar or want to further my knowledge about a certain subject. Where do I go? I dont make a thread about it, I search. Im not a search Nazi believe it or not, and if you look at a lot of my old posts, yes there are a lot, youll find that I help a good bit of folks by answering their questions. To be quite honest, with you a lot of your questions are dumb, and that's putting it nicely. You may feel that your question is valid, but to pretty much everyone else, we dont give a rats ass what a 3L with magnaflows and cams sound like. I have never not answered a PM from anyone regarding a question they had about nitrous or whatever. If its a stupid question Ill just send them to DanG or BBox  I have learned a lot about my car because I do most of the work myself. I fuk up things myself, and I fix them, that's how I learn. I dont know everything, and never claimed to, but every problem you could have ran into installing something, Ive experieinced, and I even give out my phone number a lot of times to help people over the phone. The favor has been returned to me a lot of times as well on here, because the folks on here are awesome people. If you dont know how to use the search tool that well , then practice, or PM someone you feel that has the knowledge to help you out a little more than posting each question in all these different forums. As a matter of fact, you PM'ed me about some questions you had about nitrous and I answered them for you very thoroughly , and with no smart ass remarks did I not? Either way, its the internet, and most everyone that has met me knows that Im an easy going guy, so get over it.
Also, some other folks that are good with answering questions are Ov3n, lbizboy, and ilovemycar.

Dude, everyone gets flamed when they're new, it happens everywhere. At school, at work, on here, no difference. Expect it. After a while people on here get to know you and then they respect you.
However...
I've gotta agree with the high-ups and John that you were all over the place and asking us to do stuff for you. It's fine to ask for help, but not for everything you come across. Do things yourself, that is how I learned. I didn't ask a dozen times how to pull my dash, I asked a Vet once and then did it.
Another thing that you've been getting hit with is your grammar and spelling. To each their own, but to be honest if a post looks unorganized and like you didn't care about what you were trying to say, i'll read the first section and the last part, or maybe not at all. I don't have time to translate mumblican.
