Today i un-timed my 3L engine and than realized that i missed a step on the Ford CD which was: turning the engine to 11 o'clock than remove the chain and such for the #1 piston to be TDC. :banghead: I didn't do that and i think the crank key way is in the 2 o'clock spot..... Am i in deep crap here??? I removed the heads and all and its now down the just the block.

It's the assembly steps you need to worry about, not the disassembly. The main thing is to not rotate the piston assembly if you've still got the cams in place as it's possible you could contact a valve at that point.

Ok I figured i could just turn the crank with the heads off to put it at TDC, just wanted to make sure. Thanks
