So I'm very slowly starting to read more and more in this thread and slowly getting more comfident to talk about swapping like I know something! But I was curious, after a 3.0L swap, how does your 2.5L look for re-sale? is it left with most parts? or is it basicly a pos after unless you buy a bunch of parts you need for your full 3.0L swap? just wondering, so I can think about what kind of money I can get for reselling my 2.5L or even keeping it around incase I screw the 3.0L up? thanks

I sold my bare 2.5L longblock for about 200 bucks.
Finding someone local is the key so you no don't have to deal with freight.

Normally it is better to use it as a core return with the 3L parts stuck on it. I get about $100 for it that way whether the engine runs or not. Aluminum scrap metal also pays pretty good. Normally it is pretty hard to find a buyer for the stock engine though. Putting a 3L in normally strips most of the covers off it so you aren't left with much.
