Went to fire it up again after returning the pcm back to normal.

Problem #1:

Power steering pump still leaks after the use of some teflon tape. looks like im going to talk to bill J on monday to by a little pipe to fix it.

Problem #2:

After returning the pcm to normal i started the car and it would IMMEDIATELY die. start > sputter > die. WtF?!?!?!?! Before it would idle fine and it wouldnt rev, now it just dies. After thinking for a moment, i decided to unplug my MAF altogether.

Guess what.......IT IDLES AND IT REVS!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF?!?!?!

So my $200 maf is bad or some maf wires are f'd up. well i look at my maf wires and they look fine all the way till i cant see them in all the other wires.

I just got of the phone with ADC. apparently i need to solder my PCM wire back together and not use a connector. he thinks thats whats killing it. he also said try without the chip and see what happens. what should i do?

Problem #3 and worst of all....

REAR MAIN SEAL!!!!!!!!!!

after hearing about keysers problems and Massiv's problems i did my best to ensure the ***** didnt leak. well it does (small oil trail between block and tranny) and i need everyones help on whats the best way to put a new one on because now i have to pull the drivetrain again:(:(:(:(

thanks for listening.

Slurpees 3L still runs better with out the ADC chip. Not to say it runs well sounds like it needs to be tuned badly but it does run with out the chip. Hes getting another chip from them soon i hear.

What MAF are you using? The MAF tables could be screwed up on the chip making it not idle with it hooked up?

I found for the rear main seal the best way to install the new one is to use your old seal...

After removing the old seal place the new seal as best as you can on top of the slot and take your old seal flip it around and put it on your new seal and tap it in with a rubber mallet... I used some locktite but not a whole lot, I just made sure the seal was in evenly and as much as it could go

If your going to be getting the new line from Bill get the Teflon o-rings as well. They are your best bet for a good seal.

Trial and error.....sucks to hear about that but look at the brightside....in another couple of weeks you can just enjoy it.

Do you still have those crazy huge injectors in the car?

Ugh....

Do you still have those crazy huge injectors in the car?

Ugh....

i have the sct 90mm maf and they made that match my 650cc injectors. i really dont think the injectors are the problem. it idles fine but it idles rich, because the maf is messing up. idle is smooth and when i unplugged the maf it revved smoothly. it also sounded freakin sweet.

im going to fix that pcm wire and re-check my maf wores and see what happens.

but i really dont think its the injectors...

You don't match injectors with a MAF, chief! You need the injector constant in the ECU to match the size injectors you've put in. This is all covered in the 2.5L FAQ, as I've hope you've read. ADC would have given you the chip to match the injectors, but they only have files on the SVT Lightning MAF (or it's entirely possible that they have a tune for the SCT one, I'm not sure), but getting a "tuned" MAF is nothing but voltage trickery to the ECU- Not somethhing you want to do with a huge-a$$ turbo!

How did you install the Rear Main Seal?

Idle issues sound like a MAF problem, ie throw the stock on one there (if you can with your custom piping) and try no chip, she'll probably fire and idle like a champ but rich as hell from the injectors.

Rear mains are the devil!!!!

Most likely the tune is just so far off that unplugging the MAF made it run better. Ford vehicles can run without a MAF, how is mrs. soccer mom supposed to get the minivan to the dealership if the MAF fails? So more than likely the tune is just so off the it's better off without the MAF plugged in. I would refrain from running it very much without the MAF however, because even stock vehicles don't run very well, and I imagine a turbo vehicle could suffer damage from it. If there is a problem with the MAF...it is more than likely the wiring. We have never heard of having problems with the vehicle's MAF, and failures are not very common. I'm sure it does happen, but wiring seems like the logical place to start. I'm with Kinger, try the stock MAF, with and without the chip to see which is better. Then, get it to a good dyno shop as soon as possible!

i meant to say ADC enetered my injector and maf info on my chip.....i just worded it wrong. did i say "match"?......sorry:tongue:

so ADC "should" have the right injector constant for my maf and injectors in my chip correct? the ADC guy i talked to said i just need to do a better job correcting my PCM wire that i put back together. i will do that, but do you guys think i should leave the maf in and take the chip out and see what happens?

i dont have a stock maf, need to find one of those......
