I've been reading that, naturally, a lot of the cars damaged during the past 2 hurricanes have been infiltrating used car lots now.
Some yards may obtain a few and choose to part them out to be listed on car-part.com, ebay and copartfinder sites. Since some members here don't refresh the 3.0l they buy should they look for any signs that the engine may have been submerged for up to a week in some cases?
The engines themselves may be fairly water tight, but some could've still gotten in through the airbox or the mix of chemicals in the water would cause premature wear on gaskets & corrode metals.
