I saw Knappsman's post of his 01-02 headlights with Silverstars, so I just thought I'd throw up a couple of pictures of my 99-00 European headlights for comparision. Highs: 9005, Lows: H7, Fogs: H3.

Got them all of of eBay for ~$25 shipped a pair. Well worth it, I really like the light they put out, especially when the highs are on. ;)

AuotZone was running a special here about a month ago. The price on the silvers was $27 a pair from $45.

I entered in like 9005 silverstar, and it came up with like 30 different pairs.

I looked up silverstar replacements on their website, and they listed 9005ST for the highs, 9006ST for the lows. What are the H7s? They also list silverstar replacements for the signals, but I can't see the real benefit in that.

And for those with silverstars, I'm thinking of upgrading because my night vision is horrible (I'm what they call night blind) and the website makes it sound as though these might help. Short of looking good, do these REALLY improve your vision at night?

YES... especially if you have the foglights too

Well, I'd LIKE to have fogs, but I don't. :( I found a dead-end wire harness on the passenger side that I thought might be for fogs, but I haven't located one on the other side. My front bumper's not in stellar shape (someone was nice enough to back into my left front in a parking lot), and I'm thinking maybe I'll get a kit front and put fogs in that anyway.

But back on topic...improved visibility is a good thing, so it makes them worth the cost to me. Thanks. :)

I have European Spec headlights, they use H7 bulbs instead of 9006's. BTW I have a pair of 9006 Silverstars, used for about 1 month for sale for $22 Shipped, interested?
