It depends on how you launch. Even stock power levels can snap them. If your gentle Warmonger has been putting down 350 with them although he has the Autozone replacements and they seem to be of better quality.
It is one of those things that is very much dependent on how you drive.

Yup... go get some really sticky tires... revvvv it up, and dump it... if the clutch grabs...you can easily snap an axle...

i snapped my passenger side axle right at the hub, and it was trying to take in traffic with a fairly hard street start on my way to the store. i had a fully bolted on 2.5 at the time

Has anyone had experience with Driveshaft Shop's heavy duty axles?

I thought of ordering them, but it doesn't come with a mid-shaft  so I don't see a point... I did get some through NAPA with a lifetime warrenty on them.

You will almost never break the half-shaft! You do not need to worry about "upgrading" that!

DSS Stage 1 & 2 axles are no different then the GCK HD axles you can get at AutoZone for $125. (lifetime warranty on them too!)
Stage 3 axles will make the hub the next failure point. A couple folks have already proven that fact a few times.
The Stage 5 kit with the HD hubs is what?? $1500 for a FWD car to launch a tenth or two quicker. Screw that nonsense. I'd be happy with low 2's in the 60' and drive the car like it was meant to be driven. Road racing.

So you would consider the GCK's a worthwhile upgrade Demon?
