'99 Headlight Question

What is the small lens looking thing just above and between the turn signal and the low beam bulb? I "might" be for auto-sensors, but I can't find any reference to it.

It is for a parking light used on the European Cougar headlights. If you do a search, you'll find lots of information on this subject. My Euro-headlights still have the bulbs and wiring in that spot, but they don't light up because I don't have the right harness for them. :(

When I opened up and repainted my headlights I broke one of them and there was nothing behind it. I was gonna ask the same question but decided it didn't matter.

Can you steer me toward a search?

Also, did this parking light come on Canadian Cougars as well? I am pretty sure that I don't have Euro Headlights, but the harness was in there.
