Just thought I would share this with you fellow ohioians. I purchased a brand new 2.5L and built it to Stage 1 SVT spec, including:

Brand New Duratec 2.5L - She was fully dressed, no miles.
SVT UIM, SVT LIM, SVT TB
Polished Stage 1 Valve Covers (polished by me)
Stage 1 SVT Radiator (Koyo)
Weapon R Headers & Y-Pipe
Weapon R Secret Weapon Short Ram Intake
Trubendz 2.5 SS Test Pipe
Stock Flex pipe
Trubendz 2.5 SS Cat Back (Weapon R G5)
Spec Stage 1 Clutch
Pro Flow 75MM MAF

I also purchased SVT19#ers, still waiting on a SVT ECU and CAMS...

Car was purchased in July of 98, I am the original owner, she now has 111k on the chassis.

Cruisefest 99 - Mild New Sport Compact Class - Second Place
Slammin & Jammin 99 - First Place
Summerfest 99 - Second Place
Some other show I can't rememeber - Second Place

Originally Rio Red, sprayed in 04, Dream Cruiser - Tangerine PealCoat - Repray plans in Summer 06 - HOK Tangelo Custom Mix (along with various other body mods, including full glass kit, fenders, most likly wide body)

Custom interior by me:
Katzkin Full Leather
Custom Orange & Carbon Tweed
Carbon Dash
Shifter

Electronics & Sound
Sound Quality (No longer into high pressure ear drenching SPL contests :) )

Kenwood DPX-50 Double Din
Kenwood Mids & Highs

Suspension:

Eibach Sport Springs

Wheels & Tires
Konig Troubles sitting on Kumho ECSTA

In the next couple of months I am planning rebuilding this thing mechanicly, as you can see by the pics, I have already started on the engine & trans, working my way to the suspension & brakes area next (planning on Baer & Tokico).

I will most likly never get rid of this car, I love the Cougar body, everytime I work on it, I find yet another awesome view of her :)

Anyway, more to come on this project (although it is still a daily driver for me :) )

That motor looks pretty sweet to me. I agree on the cougar body. Even though I dont have one anymore they still look awesome to me. Great lines.

I love the body lines :) I was on the floor in the front, working on getting the radiator back in, and stoped for a sec, sat back, front of the car sitting on stands, hood off, and I was like, wow, yet another awesome view :) Just the way the headlights and the overall body conform, awesome to me :)

Sweet man. Looks really good.

Where in Cincy are you? I only really know the beechmont/eastgate area, downtown is just too crazy.

Can anyone recommend a good tuning shop? I want to take this somewhere, have it dyno tested and tuned...

cant agree more on the lines of the car....yesturday i was in an appartment building on the second floor looking down on her about 4o ft out in the lot straight on from the back side and i have to tell you that is one of the sexiest angles i have seen so far..the car almost seems about a foot wider at the front from that angle...kinda has a sweet wedge shape going on...
