Stock 13s aren't Fantastic as everyone thinks....skylines aren't awesome stock. Camaro SS's aren't Fantastic stock. Still very good cars but not as big of a deal as people make them out to be. Great cars modded but stock. Just good.

Its not even that, it's that fact that between driver and machine...there is few that respond better then a skyline communication wise. Ask anyone that has driven it, person or mag. They fly around tracks like it was a damn joke, even stock.

I think we can all agree on something a skyline is faster than a cougar stock or not. PERIOD.

But what if you swap in 3.5L parts into a 3.0L and turbo it? And add the Jaguar X-Type chassis and drivetrain?

The only way a cougar will EVER beat any skyline is if you put a Type R sticker on the cougar.

But what about that turbine-engine kit they had for the 00-06 Eclipse? I know there was one on eBay a while back...

RodneyBur

ahhh **** I forgot about that. You have to remember though that some people can't use that turbine kit cause their wing is too ****ing big and the acceleration would cause the car to lift off like a 747.

Not true. I could steal the wheels off the skyline...

haha how did this post get into comparring a skyline with a couger? uncomparable PERIOD. I started this thread to compare two cars in the same class to which the couger was meant to compete for market share with. same platform more or less. Overall anycar can be made fast, It's the chassis that makes the differance in why people buy porches's to take racing.

Now let us compare an 81 buick to a bus shall we.
I say the bus takes it

This depends. Which one has the Type R sticker on it?

Well, if the Bus has Iridium spark plugs and KaleCo O-pipe dual exhaust, couple that with some NAWWWZ and I say BlueBird as well.

I think you get better gains from the Bus with the Iridium spark plugs. The higher heat generated by the plugs causes better combustion in the diesel engine. (If i get flamed for this someone will get slapped  )

sounds like an invite:

WTF newb? If you would have done a search you would have easy found that deisels don't USE spark plugs. They USE ****ing glow plugs. There's only like a ka-billion posts on the subject.

Sheesh.

Ohh and heat isn't higher its HOTTER. Also a check your grammar before posting. Civic owners are illeterate not Cougar owners.

But as far as diesel. I drive a mazda, enough said.

ok ok diesels use higher compression... therefor they can only spark with the use of gun powder

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, I only read the first 4 pages before I got VERY sick of this thread. But I just had to mention:

It's Cougar, CougAr, with an A, NOT an E.

That is all.

Wrong again! Diesel engines use hollow spark plug wires and KaleCo spark plugs. They block 99% of spark and allow 95% of ignition molecules to pass through! Perfect for even cold weather starts in a diesel!
