OMG I'm still here! hahahaha. I've been busy as hell with my band and work. Sorry i've not been around. The car is doing bad, worse than usual. With more things going wrong each day. I've tried to get rid of it twice now but it's like the herpes, it keeps coming back! I guess i'm stuck with it. I love the car, when it's actually working right! Anyways, how has everyone been. how did the meet go, etc....

Well.......

Need new tires, still.

Check engine light has been on for a month or two for catalyst efficiency. I think that this is the same cause of a humming noice that the car makes until i press the pedal and then it goes away. Maybe backpressure in the cat?

Speaking of exhaust, it sounds horrible. When I idle something under there is rattling like crazy. I'm pretty sure it's the entire exhaust rattling and bumping into something. It's so bad that I have to put the car in nuetral when i'm stopped so it's not so emberassing! hahahaha.

Sometimes when i try to start the car it bogs and doesnt want to start. I push the gas a couple of times and then after trying for a couple of min. it starts up then runs fine. I think this may be the IAC valve.

The worse one is that my alt. is getting ready to die! AGAIN! The lights are flickering really bad now. I went to autozone they said that the alt. looses power with anything past idle.

I'm sure i'm at the point where i need new plugs and wires and all that good stuff as well since i'm up to 92,000 miles now.

There you have it...alot of junk that I don't have money to pay for!

dang...well:
1. Headers and a high flow cat will take care of the CEL, and the sound :-)
2. I don't THINK the iac valve is too hard to do...I think I did mine by myself and I'm no mechanic. I can't remember WHAT I had to replace to clear my CEL...but it was easy
3. friggin alts...where'd did you get it? how old is it? (look into warranty repalcement from where you got it)
plugs and plug wires are cheep and easy to do...with enough extensions and wobble joints :-)

as for the money...I feel your pain...and REALLY with I could help

i believe 1 and 2 should be solved with new cats all together. and #3 get a duralast gold alternator with the lifetime warrenty.

Yea the alt. has a warranty, but it's going to cost out the ass to get it installed! Anyone know of a place or anyone selling cats for cheap? I figure I'll just go ahead and replace the whole exhaust, nothing fancy just something cheap and reliable.
