Does any one know what MTX trannies will work in a 99 cougar with a build date of 7-28-98. It is the 2.5 l.

any V6 MTX out of a cougar/contour/mystique from 1997-2002. The 1996/1997 trannies might work from the contour/mystique but i am not sure. Pretty much any MTX that is NOT rod shift will work.
