Any way to do this? Anyone done it? I don't need cruise around town obviously, but driving long distances without it doesn't sound like much fun.
I don't care about full-blown cruise control, I don't need to accelerate or decelerate by button, but just being able to get the car to maintain a constant speed would be faaaaaantastic.

Anything can be done... with some rewiring i could see integrating it into your 4 buttons... if you still have them... and the less you have the better. Do you have TC? and i assume you at least have rear window defroster.

Yeah, traction control, rear defrost, and the alarm is in one of the slots as well.

Ya but the alarm does nothing but flash a red light .... ya cause that scares off the car thieves. But you could move the TC over.... then use 2 buttons for On/off and set.

I believe the alarm light will alert you to any PATS issues as well....as in, it flashes like a drunk chick at mardi gras if the key doesn't match or something.

Ya but i could easily move and install that light anywhere in the dash... doesnt need to take up a button spot.
ive done this but it was pain in the ass.
i basically rerouted the whole wiring from under the steering column, removed all the buttons from the original steering wheel, then i remounted all the switches and buttons where the cup spiller was. (using switches i bought from radio shack).
it has been over 2 years since ive done this and i think there are pics or how to on TN... I cant find the pics right now.
