Need help for Weird problem

Ok guys this is the strangest problem I have ever had, and im sure im going to get flamed from the Neco Gods for having such a stupid question. My car's clock doesnt work when my car is off. This just started to hapen yesterday, I turn my car off and when i get back in my clock is at the same time it was at when i turned it off. I can understand if it reset to 12 or didnt come back on at all, but it will be at whatever it was at last. When my car is running it keeps perfect time. Who knows the answers to my problem?? anyone???

umm wow thats wierd. I dont know what to tell ya other than the standard check your fuses and maybe tear apart your dash and check the connectionto your dash. sounds really odd though. Are you seeing any other problems? have you had your battery tested?... guess it could be a failed relay thats not suppling power to the clock when off.

I was having the same problem when i first got my car. My dome lights also didnt work and my clock and lights were on the same fuse and my dome light was the whole problem i changed the fuse numerous times and it woudl keep blowing. So i was just moving the contacts around in teh dome light and then one day it worked and they still do and my clock keeps time. :shrug:

Thats strange... no flaming here... I had a VW once that would keep time while
the car was off, but once you started it the "analog" clock would stop. the second hand even stopped.

I guess the first question to ask is, have you modified/changed any wiring in the car. I've had some really weird problems, like the whole guage cluster going dead when I would move the seat back [short summary was it was something stupid I did by not reattaching the overdrive wires to the shifter 2 years earlier, and they were grounding themselves on the seat rails... feel free to flame me on that if you want, but I thought it was funny].
