Hey guys, new problem with the cat this morning. I got in and turned the wipers on and they worked fine on the entire drive to work, about an hour, on the low setting the entire way. I leave work, turn them back on...Bam! One wipe, no more. Then clicking... I tracked the clicking down to fuse 20 in the fuse box under the dash, its the black one; I pulled it and the clicking is gone, but alas no wipers.

Now the weird part. When I pull the lever forward to spray the windshield, the wipers work fine, every time. They are only working intermittently on any other setting (including the rear wiper). Even with the switch off, there is an intermittent clicking...its random, but it is pulling power. Like I said they work fine sometimes w/o issue...please tell me its not the motor!

And if it is that fuse...why does it have to be replaced by my dealer?

HELP NECO!

Fuses don't click (nor are they black) - you must have pulled a relay. It's possible it went bad. If you were able to pull it out, then you can replace it yourself... You should be able to get one from your Ford dealer, or places like Autozone may sell them...

P.S. If your wipers work when you spray the windshield, then I'd say it's not the motor.

Under your feet in the fuse box there is a relay that is GREEN and numbered R15. That is your problem. :)

The only thing that makes me doubt that, is when I pull R15, the black relay still clicks like crazy...But, none of the dealers around here had the part, and I ordered the black relay early this morning...

Sigh...lets hope it doesnt rain! :)

Sounds like multifunction switch.

Could also be the motor. It might need to be replaced.
