Its been a while...

Well I finally got back on here... Partial thanks to Chun Mei for the shiny new computer ;)

I've been lurking for like the past month... I dont really have time to internet anymore with the new job and school... but things are OK-ish

In mid december I had an accident with the coug in a snowstorm, luckily for me alls I did was tear the front bumper clean off and break a right side headlight. The headlights already been replaced and the bumper is going on tomarrow after work. I guess you can say i'm forced to mod again... BuddyClub2 bumper, thinking of getting Visteon sides and possibly a set of eibach springs.

The tranny is getting worse... slipping, leaking in a few places... looks like i have really only 2 options, both costing the same, one with a lot more gains:

1. Get a low mielage used tranny and send it to Level 10 for 'the works': ~$3000

2. Get a low mielage MTX Cougar/Contour, clutch, flywheel, torsion diff, axles, and shorter final drive gears: ~$3500

i'm sure everyone will point me to the MTX swap, but i dont know... Autos are fun too... one thig is for sure, if i do swap over to MTX, i'm also throwing my "i hate nitrous" attutude away... i want my car <13sec 1/4mi if its an MTX, no excuses. and i dont feel like putting new $1400 heads on it to turbo or supercharge it.

Anywho... Its too late and i have to work tomarow at 8, ttyl peeps!

Greg- Maybe... been real busy with work and such (And i see you have been 'busy' yourself ;) ), Plans are to get the car legal for emissions in April, then start an MTX swap later in the summer... I should be around, but i get very lazy

David- MTXes are more fun, i just wanted a fast ATX, now that i had one and totally wasted the trans, time to just have a fast fun car... I still like 4 cyl standard cars though... whenever i have to PDI a new Spectra 5 5-spd you can gaurantee its going to see WOT... the only other one i'll go WOT in is the new Sedona.. which will litterally run mid-low 15sec 1/4mi... i think it'll beat my car right now... have to see and race one.
Ann and Ron got rid of their coug? Damn, so that leaves what, 4 mass/conners left who still have cougars :tongue:

Nope.. can't swear... slightly dissapointing cuz everone needs to drop the f-bomb now and then.. of course it does cut back on the kiddies spamming threads with them. So it could be worse.
