CougarFest is confirmed for Indianapolis, what can we do to help out? [Archive]

Its been confirmed that CougarFest will again be in Indianapolis. A final date is expected to be settled on shortly.

This is good news. However, as we all know, the raffles which were used to fund previous Fests will not be going on this year. I do not know what percentage of Fest the raffles paid for, but regardless, there is at least some money which is in need of replacement.

I know we have already made a contribution as a chapter with the t-shirt sales. What can we, as a chapter, do to further contribute to helping make CougarFest 2006 a success?

Hah. Id wear a bikini for fest haha. (wow, thats the most disturbing thing ive said in awhile). Other ideas would be armed liquor store robbery. Id be down for that too.

no more raffles..ever! apparently raffles over the internet is gamnbling and since trevor doesnt have a gaming license it's much illegal!

The money obviously went to a good cause though.

In all seriousness. I agree that the raffles are a dying breed and we NEED to bring it. We are one of the smallest chapters member wise, but we make the most noise. We need to find something to raise some serious dough.

the problem with shot glasses is that there are usually cougarfest shotglasses already, so i dont knwo how that would work out.

i was thinking about the thin foam ones that fold flat. i like them cuz they can fit in my backpocket in the rare chance i don't have a can in my hand... i know of a couple of groups/workplaces that have had them, i'll try to find who made em...

looks like most places online are priced between 1 and 2 dollars, depending on how many, which kind, whether the image is on both sides, and number of colors used. I vote aye on this idea to kick us off for funds, what are your thoughts guys?

Just cause some one mentioned it. Don (ignernt) normally makes CF shot glasses for charity. Im not sure if he plans on doing that again this year. Hes not as active about CF this year from what i heard. Im not even sure hes even coming :shrug: maybe send him a PM.

Well shot glass are a b!tch to ship, koozies would be a breeze. I might do it depending on what kind of interest there is. PLus what wouild we put on it? how about the thing we put on the front of our shirts?

Well MR. Photoshop himself thinks it a good idea so we might have something here, now its all about how to market them, at fest or before hand. But anyways looks like this is a go.

Ron, I think its a good idea. I also KNOW that when I tried to have a shirt made with that exact logo the company I went through gunned it down due to copyright infringement.

I also regret to inform everyone I will not be a part of the caravan in to Fest this year. I will be arriving with Logan Motorsports on Wednesday evening. Depending on route and the caravan's ETA, I may be willing to backtrack a bit and meet up for the last portion of the ride and and give a proper escort in to Indianapolis. ;)
