I have a 2000 Cougar, and it's in the shop right now, and the mechanic says it's locked up. The belts won't even turn over, and he said something about not being able to even loosen it with a wrench. What causes your engine to lock up? It was running fine.

locked up, eh? Sounds *serious*. I don't think the people on here with spun bearings had their engines actually *lock up*.
What were the symptoms that caused you to bring it to him? Sounds like it's time for you to buy my 2.5L engine... (or my full 3L powertrain!)

Actually, the blown 3 liter I bought for 25 bucks had three spun bearings, and I couldn't even turn it over with a ratchet and breaker bar.

Um...not to be a dick...but why did you start a new post? Why not just stick to your original post?
I'll bet Wade could unlock that engine if he followed Chuck Norris' workout routine.
