I figured since it's Springtime temperatures I'd pop my head out from hibernation.
Some good news for me finally. I got a $2 raise at work! No more Ramen noodles for me, I've upgraded to Bowl Appetite!
In the grand scheme of things it's not a "big" raise tho. Avg pay for a graphic designer w/my experience is $22/hr, I was making $11/hr. Since the design dept. was severely underpaid as is they bumped the starting rate to $12.50 and gave me a .50¢ increase on top of that. So, in a way I only got a .50¢ raise since anyone hired off the street now would be making .50¢ less than me, and I've been there almost 2 years.
I'll be getting my taxes done in early February and, from what I hear, the guy I'm seeing really likes to find anything to get you as much back as possible. So I'm bringing in the special form I get from all the property loss during the flood to hopefully claim a little more. But the real treat is that I'll be getting enough back before that to pay the Cougar off. Man, never has ~$800 felt so far away.
So that really leaves the only debt I have is the computer loan. And with the extra $150/mo in my pocket from not having a car payment I'll make quick work of that.
I think once that stuff is straightened out I may start a hobby come summer that involves 3 liters. :) I'm in no rush to finish so it'll be a great learning experience. Plus I'll be at 90k miles on the Cougar come Summer too.
