Font Sizes

I see that yet again my signature has been arbitrarily reduced in font size with no reason given to me. I'm left to assume that some people are perhaps too lazy to use the scroll button or worse, have nothing better to do than cry about the size of my signature. I'm going to refrain from further comment or speculation about what led to the reduction of the font I used in my signature, but let me ask you this . . . why give the GIANT OBNOXIOUS FONT to be used if it's just going to end up reduced to a smaller size anyways?

I'm not trying to start an argument here, but how am I supposed to "not abuse" something if I don't know what constitutes abuse? In essence, "abuse" is whatever the mod or admin deems it to be and is subject to change at any given time.

I don't feel I was abusing the option to use larger font sizes at all. My intent was to create more interest in preparation for CougarFest. Briefly after I placed the giant link in my signature, the once stagnant thread has suddenly shown more than a few signs of life, including the first sign of actual planning for Fest. Coincidental? Probably the part about planning, but I doubt the rest is. In case I haven't made it obvious enough, I'm very enthusiastic about NECO and Fest. If other people don't share my enthusiasm, then fine, but I will still try to get as many people as excited about Fest as possible.

Well, we don't all surf on the 52" screen you must have :), but even on my 23" screen your sig itself took up about as much space as my post above took.

We have a size restriction on banners so the forums are easy to read (and for other reasons too). So just keep the large text to a reasonable size that's all.

So whats the point to having large font sizes if simply USING them constitutes abusing them?
