k........stats:

2000 V-6 w/ 88,900 miles....fluid never changed that I know of. Car had 49,000 on the clock when I bought it in 7/03.

Tranny shifts fine when "cold".....but by the time I get to work (25 miles .....some stop and go....but mostly highway), when i take off from the first stop light (after getting off the highway) there's a moments hesitation.......and it feels like the tranny "pops" back into gear after coming out (which I know it hasn't). For the next couple lights it does this and also is shifting eratically until I pull into work. I noted the other thread in here regarding the "1-2" shift selenoid.....but this sounds different. I'm going to have the fluid completely flushed tomorrow (Sat) hopefully......If this doesn't "fix" things.......what am I dealing with???

Thanks in advance

Fluid level is fine....that's the first thing I checked. It also doesn't look, "feel" or smell burned...but it is a bit "dark"

I'd also go ahead and add a tranny cooler to it while your at it to keep it cooler, especially if its only "slipping" after 25 miles of driving.

welllll..........after teasing me (by shifting FINE for a few days.......) she SH#T the bed :banghead: Was in the drive thru a McDick's.....went to pull up and.....tranny slippin' like a Mo Fo....I barely made it back to work, about a half mile down the street (and I HAD to get back...because I'm a radio DJ.....and I HAD to get back to do my next break!!). So now my Kitty sits in the parking lot of the station....waiting to see if one of our clients will cut me a deal (we Dj's are CHEAP LOL cuz we HAVE to be). Depending on how much $$ we're talkin'.....I just MAY do the MTX convert :)
