Pls help, exhaust question...

Hi all. Please advise. I have a 98 csvt with a 3.0 and my bank 2 precat is shot, (out of the 8/80 emissions warranty), so I decided to buy headers. I do want to employ a high-flow cat so this may limit my options. I definitely want in on either this group buy or the grass roots sale, but I have to pass the sniffer test here in Dallas. Will i be able to use the MSDS y-pipe with a free flow cat or should I get the headers through the grassroots sale and the ypipe with freeflow cat from Trubendz. I just bought the car in July and I've already added: new tires, rotors, pads, shocks, starter, o2 sensor, rust repair, hub-centric wheel spacers (exp$), front sway bar end link bushings (still nd to do the rear). I'd really like to do this as inexpensively as possible, but I don't want to do a half-@$$ed job on it either. Please advise/help.

It has been said that with MSDS headers and y-pipe and a OEM (Stock) working cat can pass the sniffer. IDK about a high flow cat though. Here in PA we only have a visual emissions test so every year i throw my cat back in to pass than put my test pipe back. You could do the same too.

i passed emissions here with headers(both msds and weaponr) and a high flow cat test pipe on both my 2.5 and 3L. Wasnt a sniffer test, but they plug into the OBDII and check the levels that way
