Hey I just recieved my UIM and TB in the mail. I need advice with two things. First off in the bottom of the box unattached to anything was a peice of rubber tubing with three branches to it and a plastic canister thing attached to it. Is this part of the SVT UIM that I'm foreign to? The second thing is the genius at the salvage yard wrote all of his stocking info on top of the manifolds black coating in YELLOW PAINT PEN! I want to remove the paint pen, but obviously not the coating. Any suggestions before I make a mistak and strip the black off as well?

it attaches the same way as the stock manifold. All the connections / hoses / etc should be the same. Just look at your car and be careful removing your old one, paying attention to all the little parts.

THe tree sounds like some vacuum lines. You will need them, but they should be on your car already too.

I'm curious as to how much you ended up paying for that. DId you get the TB bracvket too?

Hey, The tubing and canister looks like it should attach to the egr though it is not somthing that I have in the cougar. If this sounds familiar to anyone, please let me know. I'm just going to use my standard hookups and not worry about it I guess. If anyone knows what to do about the paint pen situation clue me in! Thanks

Oh and to answer your question, I payed 275 for the TB and UIM together. I also got a used egr and pcv..lol....and that thing that I don't understand...and some custom yellow paint work as stated above. Incidently I just tried my wifes nail polish remover and it took all the yellow off, but left the jet coating! I had to buy the TB bracket from forpartsonline.

Nail polish remover is basically paint thinner. I was thinking of suggesting that, but didn't wanna be responsible if it jacked the coating off. ;)
