So, yesterday i had a court hearing in Pittsburgh which is about 2 hours away from home. the hearing was at 9:30 so i got up early to make it there in time and to beat all the city traffic. so i go down get my lashings, and come home....this is where the story starts to suck, my friend had been involved in the incident in pittsburgh so he also had to go to the hearing, the only thing was he goes to school in lancaster...like on the other side of pennsylvania. so like i said we went to the hearing and came home, he packed his crap and by that time it was about 630 we get going toward lancaster around 7. Im on my way out about an hour into the 3 hour trip and get a call from work, they say they need me to work from 3am to 12 noon. well that blows but i couldnt really say no its good money so i told them i would work the shift. So i finally arrive in lancaster around 9:00 maybe 9:30. I kick my friend out of my car in a hurry to get back home to maybe get a little bit of sleep before work. im on the inter state doing about 80 in a 65.....keep in mind i had already driven 100 + miles and had 4 hours of driving done that same day (I WANTED TO GO HOME!). Anyway my radar detector didnt go off, and i have a Phazer II. which obviously it didnt work concidering i got pulled over by a helicopter...yea, gay if you ask me. so whatever i mean being pulled over is no big deal accept earlier in the day at my hearing in pittsburgh i made a deal with the judge that for 90 days i would be a good little boy and not cause any problems. well im assuming this is a "problem" so im more than likley going to loose my license for 6 months. Oh yea and to boot this all happend on my birthday

any suggestions on how to maybe somehow hold off the system realizing i have the ticket for 90 days...or even if you wanna make fun of me for being a dumb ass, feel free

Radar detectors are no good against VASCAR (Visually Assisted Speed Computer And Recorder). Essentially what it is, is a person using a stopwatch. They time how long it takes you to span a known distance, point A to B. Then they divide distance by time = avg. speed. Because there was no radar or laser used, your "Phazer II, which BTW is a pos," didn't go off.

Why were you in court?

i was in court for an underage drinking charge, and the helicopter radars you or vascar style clocks you and then radios ahead to a cop thats waiting for you to pass. and the Phazer does work ive blown past state troopers before around 90 and seen them clocking me and thought i was done, and they didnt pull out so im either really lucky more than once or it works?

West Texas has the air radars as well... I sped anyways... West Texas driving is quiet teh suck when you drive straight through from San Antonio to New Mexico or Colorado with no breaks/sleep.

I'm not sure how they do it in PA, but about 2 years ago in VA I get convicted of reckless for an accident(losing control of car) and get put on probation for a year. I did get one speeding ticket in this time frame and expected to do my 10 days in jail. Paid the fine and never heard anything else about it! Maybe cuz it was pre-payable? It might be the same. Call the city clerks office and ask them, they would know.
