i guess it depends if puck comes to CF. If i cant run him at CF Ill bring the atx. It was a lot cooler up there at the track and i could get under 16 up there. Plus the atx has cruise, 3L doesnt

it's a little early....but how is this.....Friday Sept 8, 9, 10...camping on the Friday night and the Saturday night, people can crash at my place on the Thursday night?
Ba-da-bing....done :)
EDIT: And Matt, Can-Am was started by Ken...what...4-5 years ago, we meet in Fort Erie and cruise down along side the river, down Clifton Hill beside the falls, then up past the butterfly conservatory to McArcher park (or something) then have a BBQ....then watch Ron eat a football trying to catch it, and drive home :)

I'm in for the Can-AM. (Maybe I should post this there).
I'm definately in for Hamilfest again...Gonna have my UIM, TB, CAI installed this spring, plus my sisters b/f wants to make a custom exhaust system for my car. Maybe a chip by then too. Then I should be able to stay under 16 all the time and not just the one time.

if we can get in on some NIGHT racing... that would be pretty cool. But unless some astronomical amount of money, I wont be racing this year (clutch was slipping last year, and I need new brakes & struts)

sorry Ron, but it's payback time for all those "lets take a picture of dan eating" times.

Cool idea guys for Hamillfest this year...
http://www.ontariodriveins.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=17
Owen Sound Drive-In. We could all show up and park in a row and catch a flick or two.
Just an idea.
ND4SPD
02-01-2006, 04:42 PM
I'm in for that :)
MaverickFlyer
02-01-2006, 04:52 PM
I'd be in for that to! There is talk of a drive in at fest this year to.
LadyX
02-01-2006, 05:07 PM
Just how long a drive will that be from Grand Bend? At LEAST an hour..I know! Let's move Hamilfest to Sauble Beach!
hamill
02-01-2006, 10:34 PM
Um.....Owen sound is 179kms from Grand Bend, the camp is 25kms from grand bend.....We'd be just as good to go to go to the Mustang Drive in in London...it's closer :)
It's a great Idea, but it is quite the hike, considering we could drive to Michigan and back in the same amount of time it would take to get to Owen Sound.
Excelcier
02-01-2006, 11:57 PM
Maybe I sent the wrong link. I didn't mean to send the link to the Owen Sound drive-in if that's the one I sent. I meant to send the link to the drive-in that's in Grand Bend.
hamill
02-02-2006, 04:23 PM
it wasn't just the link, you even said in your post "Owen sound Drive In" lol
but yeah, the STARLITE drive in isn't that far from the Bend, maybe 20-25 minutes from the camp, which is fine. I'll go up there before hand and check it out to get exact distances. They only have 1 screen so we'd have to get there a bit early, not to mention I'll have to measure the enterences etc. But I'll certainly look into it.
Basic Itinery -
Thursday - Dan's place for those who want to meet up early, Friday morning head to the camp.
Friday - set up camp, Friday night Movie night
Saturday - beach day and race/main dinner and BBQ
Sunday - buffet breakfast/relax and head home

I may just plan to take that Friday off work then! I could go for a nice long weekend hangout with my friends... sounds like fun! I'm sure Jenny would be up for that too.
Yeah, I must've been totally drugged up... I had both drive-ins open on my task bar because I was looking into something else because we used to go to the Owen Sound one every summer. My mind went dislexic... I totally meant the Starlite drive in. DOH!
