Good Shifter....Wrong Reverse Lockout Sleeve!!!! The sent me a lockout sleeve with out the oval hole drilled in the bottom for the pin to go through.....They say they gonna send me a new one when i send em pics....Besides that the Shifter itself works GREAT!!!! Now I gotta wait till i get the new one to put the console back in:(

The funny thing is, even with the B&M (arguably the best of the short-shifters we have to choose from), the pivot point is EXACTLY THE SAME DISTANCE from the cable connection as it is on the stock shifter. NO SHORTER. NONE.

The top arm IS shorter, but you can do that to your stock shifter with a hacksaw for free.

Eff short-shifters you have to pay for. I just saved $170 bucks.

Bennett...when you hack it off and run a die down the shaft...can you still use the lockout?

Depends on how much you cut it. The lockout has a grooved sleeve that slides in and out to adjust for length, to an extent. I can't say empirically, but I'd guess you could easily modify the lockout to work with pretty much any cut.

I just removed my lockout. I still have the sleeve and ring under the shift knob, but the bottom half that actually does the locking is gone. I mean, what were the odds of me going into reverse instead of 4th anyway?

I dunno...Im one of those peeps that i can't stand if something is not right......It came with a lockout and my lockout will work again....No half assing it here...The shifter is great though...I dont see paying all that cash for a B+M when this cosmo works great.......I am usually that one that gets the part they forgot to drill the hole in...LOL
