HINT HINT:rolleyes:

Who would like to come and see us at our Cougarfest? June 24-25 2006.

It would be really great to see some of you guys in UK. Anyone likely to be over this way that time of year and would like to drop by? We always have fun at this event and this year is shaping up to be our biggest ever.

I'm looking at airfare over there. If you guys don't mind dealing with a Yank for a few days and can put me up, I should be able to pull it off.

So who's coming over to our side of the pond?

same deal as OX, if I can get reasonable airfare [and snag a ride to the event], I may be there.

We need to coordinate.

Oh boy, myself and bensenvill turned loose in the U.K.? Hide the women and children everyone.

Here's something of an update . . . right now the union is flexing their muscle in my company. They claim things will be "better" but evidently I will be seeing a drastic reduction in paid time off, from 28 days to 10 is what I've currently heard. We are still awaiting official notification of it, but if such is the case, I may not be able to make UK Cougar Fest due to other commitments I have already made.

Hey I'm from Belgium..
End of June is about the time I want my Cougar to be ready, maybe, if it seems to be a big meet, I will come over..

Hi Assy! We would really welcome you to the UK Cougarfest if you can make it. Dates are June 23-25 at Billing Aquadrome near Northampton. I did not get there last year so have not seen the site but I understand this is a well appointed camping site. So far we have anticipated number of 36 cats going plus passengers so we will be quite a crowd. They had a blast last year!

Come if you can, would be great to see you.:) :) :) :) ;) Visit www.cougarforum.co.uk and check out more info on the Cougarfest thread there.

Heya Viv, its Falcon from UKCougar!

Cougarfest 2005 was indeed a blast, me & Les (nico) started a convey in the North East & picked up about 9 or 10 cats on the way down to Billing.

Think we had 43 in attendance last year..hoping for 60+ this year!

Whoops!:flushed: :flushed: Haven't been on here for a while so missed your post Falcon. Did not mean to ignore you!!;)

Yes, we are indeed expecting around 60 cats at UK Cougarfest and with passengers could be up to 80 people attending. Optional events include karting, we're planning an auction with proceeds going to a motor trade charity, various maintenance stuff and heaps of fun. Running from Friday through to Sunday for those still left standing!!

Assy - where are you, come and join the fun!!!!!;) ;) ;) ;) We're not THAT far from you!!!!;)

I might well show up this year. I suppose it'd be rude of me not to, seeing as i live in Northamptonshire.

I'll provisionally say yes. I'm not down to be working that weekend. Need a fair bit doing to be looking presentable. Namely the 2 large 'ex-girlfriend-related' dents in my bonnet. Also got a major scuff on my front bumper. Need my front markers wiring up too.

Currently a dent repair expert is being negotiated to join us, so how about killing 2 birds with 1 stone? If not just turn up anyways :)

Cheers for that. I don't ever really look on the UK site. I'll probably come for one the days. Not much point in stopping over as i live so close. Also, i don't have any camping equipment and the like. Only problem is that i'm nearly penniless this month after putting the car through it's MOT and taxing it. I get paid the day before Cougarfest, so wouldn't be a problem if were pay on the gate, but it's not. Will need to wait a week or 2 and see how i'm set financially. I know it's only £30, but that's nearly a weeks fuel for me.

That is a good idea, although i've been told by my local bodyshop that the dents are too bad to be just knocked out and the whole bonnet will need a respray. I'd value a second opinion though. Also, i get paid on the 23rd, so it's a perfect weekend for a spending spree. I'm already skint this month after paying for my MOT and car tax

Definately not going now, as my Cougar has been sold. Wasn't planning on selling for a few months at least, but i got an offer i couldn't refuse. Just got a Honda Accord as a daily driver for now and nearer Xmas i'll hopefully be getting a Jeep Cherokee (Liberty) 3.7 Limited. Fancy a change.

Seems ages ago now.........but just for record we all had a great time. Lots of laughs, lots of booze, good bit of sun, lots of BBQs and really good money raised at the auction.

Who's coming in 2007 then??? ;)
