Hey guys, here's probably a dumb question. I just bought a svt uim and tb for my hybrid. It's a manual. I tried searching for a straight answer without luck. It seems everyone talks about svt tb cables, but when I went to fordpartsonline I didn't see two separate cables for the contour. All I saw was one for all 2.5 contours without traction control. Are the cables different? If so does anyone know what the part number is? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think what you actually need is the cruise cable, not the throttle cable, but you will need the proper throttle cable bracket for a SVT too.

Okay from what I could gather I'll need the svt bracket and the cable from a atx cougar. Does this sound like all I need?

When i install my UIM, LIM, and TB on my manual i had to buy the throttle cable NOT the cruise control cable. If you have a ATX than you need the cruise control cable. Its in the 2.5L SVT FAQ.

Just wanted to add something. A Cougar that is ATX has the same cable as an SVT Contour so u could use either.
