Lamborghini Gallardo wouldn't race us

My friend and I were cruisin down the highway in his modded DSM, when I see some really nice HIDs behind us, gaining fast. It gets closer and we see a gorgeous black Gallardo. He starts going pretty good, weaving around a few cars, we follow.

We caught 2 lights beside this guy and both times we launched like hell while he took off like a pussy, then after we let off he would do a ricer flyby :banghead:

And it wasn't like he was driving all normal and then we tried to race him. He was driving like a douche way before we decided to follow him. Oh well.

I got what looked like a 93-94'ish RX7 to tag with me on 270 here in ohio the other night, 0o0o that was fun and that turbo was sexy. I actually hung with him damn well, even when his turbo spooled...that is till we hit 100ish then he started getting away from me...but that was cool.

Well we just finished putting a new motor and turbo in the dsm. So we're probably looking at 300-350hp and awd. Might have been a lot closer than everybody thinks ;)

I wouldn't count out DSMs too quickly, not in a straight line acceleration anyway. I have a friend who owns a speed shop down in Va Beach who has a 10.5 second AWD and its still not dialed in. His employee has a 630+whp FWD that does low 11s on slicks and mid 12s on street tires. John Shepard has the fastest AWD IN THE WORLD @ 7.97. Faster than any drag Skyline and any Italian overpriced trash. Give me a choice and I'll take a Ford GT over any thing with a horsey or a nutless bull. My .02 :biggrin:

run a 12.2 or better and go find him again;) if that's 350awhp it would be pretty close if not pwnage. i have a friend who had 320awhp in his wrx and ran a 12.3. the rex is heavier than a dsm i believe.....

Yeah, dsm's are good...esp. those 1st gen'ers. The fastest skyline in the world does mid 7's I believe.

If I raced everyone who tried to bait me, I've have been in jail long ago. I don't think my car has been on the road for more than 15 minutes at a time before someone rev's me up, does a flyby, or more... God I wish ppl would just grow up.
