my motor craped out on me. i'm goin with the 3.0 instead of the 2.5. i'm lookin for the easiest, fastest and cheapest route to go. so i read where the taurus motor is the easiest motor to swap ( am i right)? my question have probably been answered but some post's are confusing to me. i'm just wondering what year motor is the best and what all exactly do i have to do to do this swap?what all do i have to change or have done to make this work? i guess i'm asking for a detailed how to for the swap. if anyone could help me out i would appreciate it.

Before the flaming begins, you'll need to do a bit of searching- In this forum and others regarding your plans. The Taurus engine is NOT the easiest to swap, there are multiple years that will "work", but some that are "better", and you ned to know the difference between a 3L hybrid and a port-matched 3L unless you intend to fabricate your EGR and IACV systems. Also, cam selection is key when determining parts to order for your timing system.

And if you don't know those terms & acronyms, you need to search some more. My FAQ in the 2.5L section is a great place to start.

Everyone else, please refrain from the all-out flame war. We'd like to welcome new members, not scare them off.

I have been known to build some engines for people. Gotta make sure I still have time for the wife and (furry, four-footed) kids, however...
