So me and my grandma were on our way home from picking me up from work tonight (they give me rides while the Cougar is down) and we see this fairly nice looking 2nd Gen Eclipse GS-X (I know it was a GSX since his custom plate was 2Gen GSX) with HID's behind us. As he goes by we hear his blow off valve. Very nicely modded, HID's, carbon fiber hood, no stupid wing (just stock Eclipse RS wing, IIRC), nice kit, beautiful red paint.
Anyways he goes by us in the right lane (we're in the middle) and a white 3rd Gen Eclipse goes by us on the left. A guy is hanging out the passenger window with a video camera, taping the 2nd Gen. As they go along, theres a 94+ Integra right in front of us (in the middle lane). The Eclipses split the Integra, just cruising along at a decent speed (about 55 or so). Of course the Integra being the ricer it is, he downshifts and takes off. Eclipses don't bat an eye, just videotaping the dude in the Integra. We stop at a red light a little further down the road and the Integra suddenly bursts into a huge smokey burnout at the intersection, probably trying to show off. Eclipse guys keep taping him. They start talking to each other about only God knows what. I told my grandma "how much you wanna bet we're about to see a street race when this light changes?" I tried to coerce her (jokingly) into racing her 98 Buick Century with them, which she responded "Absolutly not!"
Of course they get so busy talking to each other they still sit there when the light turns green. They realize its green and the Integra takes off, lighting up HARD when he hit 2nd gear (left a pretty long black tiretrack from spinning). GSX kinda cruises for a second, then hammers the throttle taking off like a bat out of hell and leaving the Integra in the dust. Of course the guy in the other Eclipse is hanging out the window videotaping the whole thing.
We get a couple miles down the road and there they are, sitting at the red light going to turn left. They of course get an arrow and go around the corner, with the Integra dumping the clutch mid-turn, smoking the rest of the way around the corner.
Oh well, nothing too exciting. The GSX was absolutly gorgeous, the Integra looked like your typical ricer car (stock paint, no body kit, OEM steelies, HUGE exhaust.) Oh well, thats my fun since I've been sitting in the passenger seat for close to 4 months now, getting to watch other people be morons.
