The quick and dirty version . . . 200 HP, 178 TQ. May not sound that impressive, but I am more than happy with the work.
The longer version? The poor thing was ****ed. She was running so rich that when the secondaries opened up, she almost killed herself. I'm really glad I chose to take it to Logan Motorsports and have it tuned on their dyno instead of doing the mail order BS with ADC. Perhaps I spent a little more than I would have going that route, but it was done in one day, and the engine has such a pretty horsepower curve, and a nice, fat torque curve as well, putting up 155 from 2k to about 4800.
While the numbers may not seem crazy, the car's behavior is night and day different then what it was this morning. She snaps through the rev's, begs to be driven. She was no slouch before, but now she feels extra playful.
I'll post up plots tomorrow, and see about getting the other plots from him via email if anyone is interested.

That sounds excellent. I do bet it's night & day after a decent dyno tune. I am sure it's a lot more fun to drive.
I agree that being able to tune on a local dyno is infinitely better then chasing a mail order chip.

I thought you HAD to have a chip to flash to, you can't actually flash the ecu though. (Chip is EPROM, ECU is just PROM???) Correct? Please correct my ways of thinking.
Either way, that sounds awesome man. If you don't mind how long/ how much did the runs cost?

Yeah, they reflashed the SCT chip. All told it ran me $350, that was for two hours on the dyno (I was actually on for close to four) at $150 an hour, $30 for the custom burn and $20 for installing a wideband O2. Also, the numbers were off of a DynaPack, which I've been told shows eight percent more drivetrain loss then a dynojet. Take that as you will, I have yet to confirm for myself.
That was all motor, I didn't have time to get the Zex kit installed and was generally tired of the car running like asshole. Now? Well, it was the best $350 I've spent in my life. It took about ten runs to get all the kinks worked out right. The horsepower curve just takes off like a rocket and climbs like you wouldn't believe. I'm looking forward to spring and getting the Zex kit installed. They've dyno'd ZEX kits and claim their jets are WHP, accurate within a few HP, meaning that with a 75 jet I'll have a 275 FWHP Cougar.

Give props where it goes, CougarGT built my baby, I just whipped her in to shape. Matt really deserves a big  for giving me a good, solid build.

Thank you Sir.
Those are pretty good numbers! My dyno after the break in period showed about 180/180 IIRC. Do you have an A/F chart with the tune? Nice that they were able to pull out about 20 more HP from that beast. Those seem like pretty high numbers from the hybrids we have seen around here!
$350 if VERY fair! It's nice to know there is a good shop around the Chicago/Milwaukee area. Its a shame they don't have a dynojet though :(
Zex? Kid you are crazy!!
BTW, I have an envelope sitting here, I just need to get some damn stamps for it.

I think I just have the horse and dyno charts, I'll have to check. I'm sure I can get my hands on the A/F if I emailed them though, the Logans were awesome. I really can't say enough good things about them, I'm so happy it's sick. She's an absolute rocket Matt. I'd love to arrange a chance for you to give her a spin.
Also, I have a new address, but if the envelope's already made out, don't worry about it, I'm still getting mail at the old one. Just lemme know.

Just another advantage I have to having AZDC right across town from me. :kick:
I'm definitaly gonna be using Keith whenever I go for my 3L build (hopefully next year).
Very nice numbers Ryan, get those graphs up!

200 HP, 178 TQ
Just be careful with your tranny if you are spraying a 75
cause it'll be 275FWHP and probably around 285+TQ
Nice numbers though congrats on the tune.

HMS, Inc. went through his MTX-75. He's equipped with a Quiafe LSD as well. The spray shouldn't cause him any issues if used safely :)
 I miss that car!

Alright BBOX!
Post up that dyno plot when you have a chance. I'd love to see it.
Stealthy, what are you surprised about? It's pulling 70 more horses and at least 35 ft-lbs more torque over a stock 2.5L.
Edit: BBOX, I think you can probably squeeze a bit more out of her with an Optimized SVT TB and a Max EH UIM.

Nice. Get a wideband 02 gauge and get that juice installed. I wish I would have had the chance to enjoy that nitrous kit, but hey I'm still young and own two cougar so who knows what will happen.
