2006 - How is it so far?

Okay, well we started off 2006 with a few posts. Now it is the 2nd day and they already fell off. I am NOT going to let happen:mad: :biggrin: !!!

So a post was made. I was going to do a poll, but I will wait for another day in-case we need a post :)

i had a denist appt at 7am this morning. 2 cavaties.. caused by my wisdom tooth thats growin in. So i need to get two cavaties filled and my wisdom tooth out. Atleast Notre Dame lost, now we need a Penn State win!!!

I have heard people say both about the snowboard and ski. i can ski but have never really tried to snowboard on a ski mountain. did it in a backyard but that doesn't really count

I used to live for skiing. I worked in a ski shop for 5 years, instructed at Ski Sawmill for 7 years, and was an area consultant for Rossignol.

Working at the resort we had a lot of free time if their were no lessons, so occasionally the ski instructors would put on snowboards, and vice-versa. It took me awhile to get it figured out, but it was ok. I will say that crashing hurts worse on a snowboard. If you catch an edge, you are going over hardcore...lol. It's like a flyswatter!

I tried one year to snowboard and lets just say it didn't work out! I took a lot of skiing lesson when i was 8+ and stopped around 10. I wouldn't mind getting back on the slop though. :)

Between this thread and the other one where Adam ranted, I am laughing so hard! My coworkers are wondering what's wrong with me already this morning! Usually that doesn't start until the afternoon!

Glad you approve of the new avator everyone :) ...I guess even you, Wade.

So for future reference, skiing seems to be the easiest of the two. I'll keep that in mind :)

Skiing easier to learn(on the body and mind) Harder to Master.
Snowboarding, Harder to learn(really hard on the body) easier to master.
