i believe dang ordered the ADC kit, and from that he had to modify plenty of things to get this thing to "bolt on" PM him about his experience.

its gonna be too much trouble.. I just got done helping my friend turbo his civic, I had to get my dad (mech.) involved many times because its very difficult to modify a car like that. and that was a civic, the coug involves more custom fabs. DONT be discouraged, but make sure you have ten grand and a good sense of what you can do.

hey thanks a lot guys...i now realize that it could never be done successfully without future problems and constant tune ups...the only disappointment is that i just got the widebody kit put on and it looks real good i just wish my coug could be fast as well...thanks for your help:cool:

you dont need a turbo to be fast.......drop a 3.0l in there with the SVT parts, tune it, and call it a day. much cheaper then a turbo 2.5l and excellent results.

thats my plan basically, I made a rough list.
1999 3L - 200 HP - $500
MSDS Headers, Y Pipe - 28 HP - $660
SVT Parts (UIM/LIM, TB, Cams?) - 15 HP - $400
SVT Clutch - $400
Exhaust - 5 HP - (have)
Intake - Um, maybe later..
SVT ECU & Injectors - $200
Lightened Flywheel - $200
ADC Chip - $400
Misc - $1000
Total Expected HP ~ 250
Total Expected $$ ~ 3500

not sure what prices are off, thats why I facted 1k for "misc." HP guess is right to opt; and the price might be a little on the low side but def. possible. I don't think I need an LSD.

Just to chime in, the MSDS Headers/Ypipe are good, but not 28 horsepower good lol. Your looking at 12-18. Best bolt-on PERIOD though.

cougar guy, no.. joe and I have a system for cheap parts:bowdown:
Just gotta wait and find.
And AEM, I put some high crank figures.. based on the notion of what msds said on their website of the h/e combo giving a "14%" increase minimum. I know thats very subjective and optimistic, but its a rough estimate.

im hoping from 200 or more at the wheels.
Do-able with a 3L and SVT cams, no problem. Even with a stock SVT ECU that's do-able.
As for the turbo kit, the install was not trivial by any stretch of the imagination. There was an extra $250 worth of parts that I had to buy to make the job "thorough" and "complete" in my eyes. Others may have different results.
There were pics up of the entire process, that's why I posted 'em, for everyone to see what's involved. But when Trevor moved the domain over, the pics are sitting on the old server, which is currently on the floor of his new house. He'll be getting the pics back soon enough.
im hoping from 200 or more at the wheels.

Ive been running the ADC turbo kit for over a year now and Ive had absolutely zero problems with reliability. :)
I did have to buy a few misc parts such as rubber hosing for the intercooler pump and resevoir. I did have some fitment issues when I first received the kit such as the wastegate touching the cooling fans and the downpipe outlet where it connects to the exhaust was angled too far down. I shipped it back to ADC and they fixed it and mailed it back to me.

Do an intake too! If you're gonna increase its ability to breathe at the back, open it up in front too!

what happened?
Weapon cRap stole MSDS headers from a donor on these boards (don't remember who), chopped them up and stole the design, then returned to the original donor some of their shoddily made and illegally copied headers.
