View Full Version : I have got to have THE WORST LUCK...EVER!!!!!

So i'm coming home from a night of playing indoor paint ball with some friends at about 3:30 am last night. About 5 miles from home my brake pedal starts to feel weak and spongy. By the time i get home my brakes are about completely gone and i'm forced to downshift and use the emergency brake pedal to stop. Good thing it was so late at night where there was nobody out on the roads. Otherwise i would of parked it somewhere and called a cab or something.
Anyways, it was too late to figure out what broke and i was too tired to care, so i went inside and went to bed. Got up today at about noon and, after getting some brunch and getting dressed, went out to start poking around on my truck.
Yep...blew another brake line...
For those that don't know, this is the third time i've blown a brake line on my truck. This time it was the passenger side front brake line. The only line i have left to blow is the supply line to both front brakes. I have yet to blow any of the rubber flexible lines. And of course, the factory had this line snaked around and underneath the power steering box (not the pump, but the gear box that the shaft from your steering wheel runs into). When i routed the new line i just went up and over the power steering gear box. My dad and i bled the line and then put everything back together. When we bled it the pedal was nice and stiff. But when i started the truck to take it for a spin around the block the pedal went dead again as if there was still air in the line.
Hell, i don't know at this point. I said **** it and gave up for the night. Tomorrow we're going to try and break those seized up bleeder screws loose on the calipers and see if we can bleed the system a little better. Other than that, i don't know what the hell i'm going to do...
I hope all your new years eve plans are doing well. God know i wouldn't want any of you to be stuck at home like i am right now...:banghead:

We finally got the bleeder valves to break loose and was able to bleed it much better. I finally have brakes again! Then i find out i don't have to go to work tonight... Heh, figures, we work to get the job done so i don't have to get a ride to and from work tonight then find out we didn't need to hurry so much, lol

The indoor paintball place is located in Findlay. The place we were originally looking for was either closed or went out of business. But we found another place not too far away from the first place. The name of the place we played at was called Black something paintball (Can't remember the second word...). It wasn't too bad. It was a decent size place, and the crates and barrels and crap they had for cover was okay. But the biggest downside to the place was that they had nothing on the concrete floor. So you can imagine just how slippery the floor was from several months worth of games of paintballs exploding all over the place. It was hard to move. You would slip and slide everytime you tried to go to a different place.

Know of any other indoor places we could go to that would be better?

I was doing the same thing every couple months finally I just said F it and replaced every old brake line on the truck plus I relocated the brake pressure regulator so it's now easier to get to. I installed all new linew from the MC out with all new fittings and I undercoated each new line except the coated braided SS ones.http://www.domesticcompact.com/truck/10_25_05/000_0528.jpg

Hey does anybody play paintball here in C-bus I go with a couple of friends but it sucks when you are playing in 35deg weather and the ground is wet and muddy. But i dont think there are any indoor places in columbus.
