im trying to find somewhere to buy stock leather seats. would i have to go to a mercury dealership or what ? and how much do you think it would cost ?

Check For Sale and post in Want to Buy. Seatman probably is out by now but it can't hurt to check.
You're best bet for avoiding the ridiculous OEM prices is to find someone who upgraded to special edition seats, or to racing seats, and is willing to unload their unused stock leather seats.
