I would post pics but i haven't taken them just yet, i should have some tomorrow if i can figure out how to post them on here. 1994 5.0 Cobra. It needs some work, but since i am keeping the trailblazer i can take as long as i want to make it into what i want it to be. It Runs and drives fine but the turn signals dont work and it has a decent dent....not visible unless 10 feet or closer. It is fun. The tag shows up tuesday so i can drive it out of the neighborhood

Nice! Kind of makes the cougar seem a bit anemic engine wise eh? For posting pictures, register with photobucket and upload them all onto that page. Then you can just click the little embed picture icon and copy and paste the picture URL.

doesn't make the coug seem anemic. Of course i am in the process of changing the spare out on the back tire. There are quite a few cougs that could hang with me from a roll anyway. The 94-95 cobras aren't that fantastic stock, just alot of ability to upgrade. I love it though. I have never removed tires from rims and replaced them myself, it's not too hard.

Come on by, i have insurance but i have to get the title transferred fully. I have a temporary title and the paperwork necessary. Give me a couple days and i will be able to take it out on the road. I am picking up a new Multifunction switch today to fix the turn signals. I found $5.86 in change when i removed the back seats. This thing pays for itself

I didn't get the switch today, but managed to remove the rear seat support bracketry and seat belts...who uses their back seat anyway?

XplosivePlushToy

I do. :disgust: But not for driving.

Clutch
12-28-2005, 10:13 PM
Ok, title got fully transferred today completely. Also dash is in pieces around the steering column to get to the switch that is burned out. You don't need the backseat for that when the front seats go all the way back now. they don't stop at the rear seats since their arent any

Awesome! the sooner ya get pictures up the better haha. Good luck with that car. I hate most mustangs but cobras i can tolerate lol.

haha, i understand completly. I am just trying to build a car i can drive to the track, put down good numbers and drive home, kinda a pure street thing.
Next mod...351 windsor

Ok switch and electrical all work, and i completely screwed my shoulder mounting tires, cant take my arm past horizontal with my shoulder

Clutch

Ok the back half of the car...aka everything behind the two front seats is removed, just bare metal down there now. I installed some new pedal covers except on the gas. I left the original there because it didn't need fixed and the cover i got would not allow the gas pedal to go ALL the way to the floor and i kinda like the way it does beginning. I also installed a new shift knob because the Stock leather one was half gone and had fingernail marks in it.

Installed an oil air seperator and have my 351 ecu and Swap headers now. Oh and i took the heater out of the loop by bypassing it so it doesn't throw antifreeze on my feet when i take hard rights now.

Step by step, play by play lol. Keep it up man, this car sounds like its gonna be a beast. Be careful with those pedals though, the ones that just clip on. My friend had some on his 3000GT and they broke off going around a curve; he then slammed into a lightpost as his foot slipped off the break and slammed onto the accelerator. $20 away from totaling the car.

Yeah i have to take it slow. Limited money and limited time. I swear my hands are permanently stained black. I found a road that is completely empty for 600 yards. Living near the boondocks can be good. I have tested the burnout and 0-60 ability on that road. Its great. I have to keep it to that though. This thing shouldn't see too much street duty. Only bad thing about taking the heater out of the loop is i have no defrost....Dont be cold dont be cold dont be cold. I have been driving the cobra every day for the last week because the trailblazer is out of gas and needs an oil change...man i am lazy sometimes

Hahaha. I know how you feel. Im driving without heater too. My HVAC are in the middle of relocation and I only have time to do it over the weekends hah.

Clutch
01-27-2006, 07:29 PM
Do you have defrost? I miss defrost:cry:

XplosivePlushToy
01-29-2006, 05:55 PM
I do now! HVAC relocation was compeleted this weekend! Now all 3 of my controls sit underneath my steering wheel! Yay! Now I need to run some LED's behind them to make them glow.

Clutch
01-29-2006, 11:09 PM
Led's are just weight...go on a diet.

XplosivePlushToy
01-30-2006, 02:26 AM
Yes, my 30 or 40 LED's will increase my strip time by 3 or 4 tenths

Clutch
01-30-2006, 10:23 AM
not even that much...but i have issues with leds. They harassed me about my clothes as a kid

V6 emblems came in today. Oh best $20 I ever spent

XplosivePlushToy
01-30-2006, 09:24 PM
V6 emblems? For the cobra? Uh. Trying to pull a fast one eh?

Clutch
01-30-2006, 10:16 PM
Yeah the stock V6 emblems will look good on it. i'm the only person i know making a v6 clone for the exterior....Gonna be hard to pretend to be a V6 when they hear the exhaust, i may have to get a bunch of inline mufflers to quiet it down

XplosivePlushToy

Hahahah. Thats pretty mean. Poor unsuspecting ricers wont know what just happened.

Ok just thought i would update. I blocked off my heater core because it was leaking. Now its time to replace it since i have a replacement. I am currently in day two of this operation. Doing this requires removal of the instrument panel and center console. I have the center console, and most of the instrument panel out and it looks like my weight reduction diet i may leave most of these parts off when i put in the new heater core. I need it for defrost and for when i overheat.

XplosivePlushToy
02-16-2006, 01:37 AM
 Yep. When I lived in San Diego my buddy bought an old 79 Duster and, in the SoCal summer we ALWAYS had that heater on to keep the engine from overheating.

Clutch
02-16-2006, 11:04 AM
nothing beats riding with the windows down in summer with the heat blowing.

Clutch
02-16-2006, 01:01 PM
Ok, now i'm pissed. I can see the heater core's housing box but i am having a hard time getting to it. When a manual says remove two bolts holding instrument panel and only hightlights one of them....i can't find the other fricken bolt. This sucks balls...day 3 of heater core replacement.

It'll be in the last place you look for it. Because if you keep looking after you find it, there's something wrong.

Clutch
02-16-2006, 07:12 PM
Yeah, it is painfully obvious that someone has replaced the heater core before as half of the screws i am supposed to remove are missing from their holes. But this one i can't even find the hole for.

Clutch

Ok. A little update. Some of you may be aware that my quest for a motor has been crap. I have had huge difficulty finding a 351 roller motor. All the ones i have found were non-roller cams. So...i have cut a deal with advanced cylinders (a performance company out here) to find me a last generation lightning motor and have them bore it and put a stroker kit in for me. Just thought i would update.
