Last night I was taking some stuff down to my apartment. At home I opened the hatch put my items in the hatch/backseat drive to the apartment. I go to take the stuff out of the hatch, I click the button on the remote, nothing. I click the truck button nothing...! :banghead:

I cant put the key in the keyhole cause my tail light covers make it an 1/8th of an inch too thick. So I need to pull it off this weekend and cut out the hole enough for me to get a key in there and see if that works.

I've been having some other electrical issues. I thought it was altenator but according to the mechanic theres nothing wrong with my battery or altenator so I dunno. The mechanic things I have a short of somesort cause when the car automaticly shifts the heater, instument lights and headlights dim and the car kind of drags a bit but it shifts then everything ok.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know cause I just had it in the shop for some other things which cost me waaaaaay too much.

Might I suggest contacting a guy who knows a guy who can torch the car and make it look like an accident?

This car is retarted! I swear to Gawd this piece of **** was build on a holiday or a weekend or something. Or the freaking car Gods are against me.

Its in the s.h.o.p. yet again.... :banghead: this time its the altenator. ARGH!!!!
I am never going to get a break! It figures that I get my title and the **** hits the fan. :bs:

I will never own another First.On.Recall.Day.

Remember that Taurus I was getting from Grandpa? Well I sold it to fix the cougar. Its cool though cause the Tranny was slipping. :thumbsdn:

Please resume on with your daily lives.

I had a rash of stuff like that a while back, and really wanted to drive the thing off a bridge. Knock on wood, apart from the persistent CEL, the car has been pretty flawless for a good year or more, and I am loving it. I've got a whole stack of Roush parts sitting in my garage right now, and it's going through a pretty sweet transformation come spring...

Hang in there, Sare. I feel for ya.

that suckes to hear..:( however..Even with the tail light covers , you can still push the key with just enough pressure to pop it with harming the covers.

I got pissed off and pulled the cover off. Now I look like a beat up ricer.... with non matching body panels. :( (I have rust on my fenders)

How come mechanics dont believe me when I tell them what I want fixed on my car? Just 'cause I have teets, dont mean anything ass muncher!

Quit making fun of my car. Just because I have half a body kit, a loud exhuast on a silver frost car with a stock green front bumper doesn't mean I'm a ricer.

remember that you can't open the trunk when your driver/passenger doors are locked...

if they are locked, the trunk will not open no matter what button you press

Is that true? I'm gonna try it and reply.

I was talking about eventually getting my dream car while going to get some KFC the other day. All of a sudden at a red light my car started studdering, dropping below idle then coming back up, like it was gonna stall out, but it wouldn't. I apologized to her and everything has been ok since.

Seriously though it was prolly just bad gas or I really need to clean my air filter.

Anytime I talk bad about my cougars or talk about another car they start to act up too. Like, when I added "My personal Hell" to my sig, the following morning the red one wouldn't start and the silver one started moosing.

Although, I think my red one understands now that when I talk about getting another car in the spring, that its not because I'm mad at her, it just because I need something different.

Really sorry to hear about your troubles Sare. :( Good luck!

And I hear you on the mechanics talking down to women, I've seen it happen to Krissy :( Surprised more women don't just come across the counter with a tire iron...

Incorrect, at least on a 2001. The keyfob hatch release works regardless of the lock state of the doors. The inside button is disabled when the doors are locked however. I believe that my 99 worked the same way.

CORRECT in my case as well.

Mine too...

I dont always talk bad about her. I have a body kit for her but if she keeps breaking theres going to be no paint/mod money left to get her dressed up in the spring. Hell I put an extra effort into painting her STOCK calipers and rotors, last spring. I even went an extra effort and got brand new all the way around!

Right now the 76' Chevy that I am driving while she is in the shop is giving me fits. It stalled 6x this morning on the way to work and its an automatic.

Its like doing the Tango with her.

I give her credit though shes been in my possession for 4yrs this March, she turns the magic number 7 this year.

Well im off to the shop to see if they have her fixed.

well, i'm glad they fixed that problem on the 2001's

but on the 1999's (early ones at least) hatchy no worky if the doors are locked

That's probably the difference, my '99 was mid to late '99. Definitely past the "magic" May return/returnless cutover, and pushing into Fall (wish I'd thought to write down her born on date :( )
