I just got a custom intake installed today and i hav a huge problem, they installed everything except that when i went to turn the car on it idles really rough and then died, it kept doing that until they put a rubber coupling to stop air from leaking out. I am using the stock rubber coiled pieced that comes off the uim and then a coupling that goes SMALLER to a custom 2.7" pipe which i thought was weird because usually u would get a larger pipe correct? then after this custom pipe comes that tube were the rectangular censor clips onto and then the maf. This is were im lost, they had to make a custom maf adaptor to screw into the maf so that the filter will slide onto it but the one they made has a square hoile in the middle approxiamtely 1.5" by 1.5" which i think is weird. Anyways heres the problem, i took it for a drive and everytime it changes gears (automatic) it jerks back as if i was manually shifting it and my head almost touches the dash for how slow it shifts, it feels like it bogs and dies but then changes gears and goes. Everytime it changes gears it does this, its like its taking a huge gaspof air (and it sounds like it turns off cause the car goes quiet) then theres the shift and it goes until it shifts again, and the odd time it will just die on me until i restart it a gain. I have no clue as to what it is but i pput the original airfilter back in and realized a censor hangin that goes into the air box, i thought that had something to do with it but it doesnt because i ran it without it with the stockairbox and it was normal. The only thing i can think of is the custom pipe being to small (i think its 2.5" or 2.7") or the custom maf adaptor that they made. If anyone knows anything or can giv me any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx,
Dan

I work close to Mikes House, so Maybe I can take a look at it as well. But get some pics it might be something simple. Or it might be something that has nothing to do with the intake. Could be off a cylinder??? Bad wire, plug, who knows?

i dont think anything is wrong with the car internally cause when i installed the original intake and airbox everything was back to normal, ill try reseting the battery like gr8ride said and if that doesnt work then i have no clue except that, maybe the censor that clips into the original airbox has something to do with it because it just hangs when the custom intake is on. Ill try getting pics up tonite, if not mayb i can meet someone that knows about this.

Thanx guys,
I already told you I can come by and take a look. You live around Martin Grove and 7, right? I live at Islington and Rutherford. Thats a 5 minute drive. If you want me to come by and have a look, PM me and we'll figure something out.
