I feel something when I drive and I want to check it out but don't know how to remove the drum from the car would really appreciate some help in this area

jack up the rear of the car, take off the tire, remove the drum retainer things, pull the drum towards you, if it seems stuck lightly tap around it with a hammer. i havent done this on a cougar, but im guessing its the same as any other car.

With my pontiac sunfire it was...
1) Take off the wheel
2) beat the crap out of it with a deadblow/mallet until it fell off
