Anyone have a return style Cougar with a dry nitrous kit? I'm having difficulty getting mine to work. I have this system:
http://www.zex.com/Products/NitrousOxide/Dry4-6cyl.asp

If anyone can offer pics, or info, then that would be greatly appreciated!! thanks!!!

Yea I'm 99% sure that Ilovemycar is using a 75 dry shot with the reture style

From what I got Dry shot will only work with the Return Style But I dont know anything About F/I. Even more so with the other guys on the board.

Nope...mine is a wet kit.

I would sell the dry kit, and get a wet kit. Then there is no need to upgrade the injectors...and less of a hassle overall IMO.

EDIT: DON'T DO IT- YOU HAVE A RETURNLESS CAR. YOU NEED A WET KIT. I'VE INSTALLED ONE, IT'S NOT FUN, BUT DO-ABLE.

I have installed a dry kit to one of our former members. The solenoid goes in-line with the FPR, put the nozzle in the intake stream aft of the MAF but before the TB. Start with a 55 shot nozzle.

Remember the copper plugs, monitor your A/F w/wideband O2.

Don't have any of these things? Time for some reading before you break something... $0.02

Jam...you have a returnless Cougar.

2000 = returnless.

According to Zex, it won't work. I called when a member was selling their Zex dry kit awhile back.

No FPR, right?

Um, I don't have nitrous. I'm turboed.

I'm saying that you need a wet kit for a returnless car due to its lack of a vacuum controlled FPR, which is what the Zex dry kit uses to increase fuel pressure to offset the nitrous spray.

Honestly, you'd need 19# injectors on a 2.5L spraying more than a 55 shot if you wanted to be safe, though it's been done successfully.

With the wet kit, you feed fuel off the Schrader valve to inject fuel along with the nitrous spray via two solenoids. Finding space for those solenoids is a PITA.

I AGREE! lol

There is definitely room for them...but making it look half way decent is the challenge!

I was referring to nadthomas. His name is also Dan. And he commented on calling him for assistance.
