After reading one of the meet threads it made me curious. It seems a few of you are into firearms and I'm wondering what kind of arsenal the Caro NECO is packing. I personally have a tricked out AR15 and am working on purchasing both a SPAS 12 combat shotgun and a Stery Elite sniper rifle.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c107/XplosivePlushToy/rifle1.jpg

The AR15 is of course real, the 1911 is just a black painted airsoft gun (that will probably end up getting me shot by the MPs or something)

Omfg thats crazy! Any pictures of the AR-15? I'm a huge fan of those rifles. One of the guys I work with has both an Ak47 and an SKS. Theres a good deal of WW2 weaponry in that list, I take it you're a collector? All you need now is a Thompson. I'm also planning on buying a Mossberg 12 GA, only mine will be a pistol grip, for uhm, self defense...

Clutch
12-19-2005, 04:54 PM
Mine is the pistol grip version with the heat shield...great minds think alike.
No pics of the AR...Its currently in pieces. It crapped out on me the last time i took it shooting. I do collect and the only one i really want that i don't have is a 1903 Springfield. Thompsons are nice though.

XplosivePlushToy
12-20-2005, 11:37 AM
How did it crap out? Thats a pretty decent collection though. I'm just going for a high dollar tactical arsenal. Id like to get my hands on a Benelli M3 too. Those are badass shotguns, not as cool as the SPAS 12, but still, theyre nice.

The bolt stayed halfway open with the forward assist not being able to close it, ever since i installed a 6 position stock i have had nothing but problems coming out of my bufferspring pushing the bolt closed, i think i am just going to go stock on that part

XplosivePlushToy
12-20-2005, 07:56 PM
damn that sucks, i have the 4 position and it works wonderfully. I couldnt be happier with my AR. But it is time to look forward to buying a new gun. When I finish my arsenal its going to put me back God only knows how many thousands of dollars.

Clutch

Yeah, all my cougar mod money went towards guns instead of mods. Be prepared to spend tons o'money to collect good guns. I honestly prefer my Ak to my Ar and would take any ak-47(no 74 crap here) over any AR-15/m16

XplosivePlushToy
12-20-2005, 09:35 PM
Lol, im not a fan of the kalashnikovs at all. I'm not really collecting but more building an end of the world arsenal haha.

Lol, I mean, dont get me wrong, they are nice guns. I just have a thing against wooden stocks, dont know why. All of my firearms are going to be "tactical". Although, I will probably end up buying an AK anyway, or maybe an SKS with a synthetic stock. BTW just went shooting yesterday and was able to fire my buddy's M1 Garand. That rifle is nice as hell! Also fired his Remington 700 7mm magnum. Wow. That thing kicks like a horse.

That shotgun kicks ass. I was looking at a few of em in the local gun shops. I almost bought one until I found my precious AR15. Now the only shotguns I'm going to buy are a pistol grip Mossberg and a SPAS12.

I like them all except the shotguns a little long for my taste. And the grip on the AR, i considered that one but who can run around the woods chasing "squirrels" with that grip. Good for bench shooting though

I forgot to mention...

As you all know, I'm going through a ton of stuff that my great aunt left in the house when she moved out. Among the discoveries was a true Saturday Night Special, .22 short revolver made in Germany in the early 60's, banned by the Handgun Control Act of 1968. A little research shows that this guy has a tendency to shoot off two rounds at once (and only one of those two comes out the barrel).

OK Idont think anybody has mentioned them yet but a heads up I am now have on my person 5 preban High cap Magazines for a bereta 9mm these are old military issue, I want to get rid of them so I'm letting them go for 20 each. I doubt they will sell but it is worth a shot.

All i got are preban/no ban mags. I never bought a low cap one. I just shopped around. Hell, 4 of my AR mags say "RESTRICTED MILITARY GOV'T/LAW ENFORCEMENT EXPORT USE ONLY" I love using those.

XplosivePlushToy

Haha. Same here. I tried "borrowing" some of my magazines from the armory as well. Both of my AR magazines are gov't use only.

You don't need a permit for a rifle. Go to hyatts gun shop and go to town. Shooter's express has better prices though.

I'll post again too.

Ruger Mini-14 and Walther P22 plinker (the cheap shooter for the range)

I take the mini over the AR not just because the AR isn't cali-legal (Though the SU-16 is with the top-loading fixed mag), but because you can slog a mini through mud, toss it in a lake, dump a handful of sand on it and all you need to do is blow it out and fire off a couple rounds. May not be a tack driver, but it'll hit a dude at 100yd, and that's all you need when you double-tap. ;)

XplosivePlushToy
03-25-2006, 08:38 AM
AR15's are banned in cali? Wow, thats pretty gay. Ah, but then again, that state has senators trying to practically abolish the 2nd amendment so I guess thats understandable. Just another reason I will never move back to CA. My arsenal basically consists right now of nothing but firearms illegal in that state.

1st 3 mags of 230 grain hollowpoints through the Kimber. First time I've been to the range in over 2 years. Not a nice tight group, but all were shot double tap style from "low ready". It's a much more accurate gun than I am a shooter :-)

I love the carbon ARs but i'm thinking of ditching my AR all together. I just hate having something with that many parts. There is a company making them without the spring buffer in the rear. It uses a different recoil mechanism at the front so you can have a pistol that looks like a pistol

Dont mind the cluttered trunk. Ill take better pictures tomorrow, and maybe a video.

Thats my new toy. A Franchi Law 12 gas operated semi automatic combat shotgun. Took me 2 or so months to get ahold of. As you can tell, compared to my AR15, its enormous.

Clutch
04-15-2006, 09:12 PM
Ok..I have looked at 2 different gunshops and they didn't have the AR's that i was talking about. They both have had them before. They operate much more like an Ak. They run no front site so you have to supply optics. The gas that is siphoned off is piped back where the front site is and eliminates the recoil spring.

I am thinking about buying a desert eagle. I dont really know too much about guns, and I am 18. What are NC gun laws? Ive looked around but still dont know which stuff was true. Can I get a permit for a desert eagle at my age?

XplosivePlushToy
04-22-2006, 06:36 PM
You have to be 21 to buy a handgun. You also have to be 21 to buy a silencer (damnit!)

DE's arent too pratical though. Id look more into a Glock or something, unless you just want a giant handcannon.

Clutch
04-22-2006, 11:50 PM
Desert Eagles are overrated. You want to spend a grand on a handgun? Buy a kimber .45 and be done with the best gun out there. You have to be 21 and have a permit issued by your local sheriffs office to purchase a handgun. But you can buy an AK or AR at 18 without a permit. You just need a clean record with no felonies. Silencers are only available with a class 3 license which is nice and expensive. Plus they need your fingerprints and i refuse to have mine on record.

AL, AR, AK, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IN, KY, LA, ME, MD,MS, MT, ND, NE, NV, NH, NM, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA,WV, WI, and WY. all allow non-military/LEO to own suppressors. If your in one of these states, keep reading.

The NFA process is kind of long and there are hoops to jump through.

You have to fill out the proper forms, for a private individual that would be a form 4 IIRC. What this is is basically an application for a tax stamp. You have to fill out the form, provide two passport photos and a finger print card. You than have to get a Chief Law Enorcment Officer to sign off on the form, this is only to say that it is legal in your state/area and that you are not legaly prohibited from possesing or owning one. The Chief of police can sign off, so can a sheriff, or a DA, and some judges as well. Once you have all the forms filled out and ready to go you send it off the the BATFE with a check made out for $200. thats the cost of the tax stamp.

After the BATFE gets it it can take anywhere from 90-120 days before you get the approval. You can not possess or pick up the suppressor from the dealer till the paper work comes back. The last thing you do is when you pick up your suppressor from the dealer, you fill out a form 4473 which is the standard bacground check form for buying a firearm.

The tax stamp is not exactly a license, but in the dictionary definition of the term it is- having paid the tax stamp licenses you to own a supressor.

04-24-2006, 01:57 AM
Yup.

I knew there was a bunch of BS you had to go through. I wasn't too concerned though as I knew I would still be able to get one upon turning 21.

Being an FL resident has its perks.

You can buy body armor online and at retailers anywhere. How do you think all the soldiers and Marines in Iraq were being sent body armor by their family members? I found a few that will stop .44 mag rounds online for about $450. You can also buy the trauma plates and even ballistics face masks.
