How do you install a Tach? :confused: Bought one used on ebay so no instructions came with it. I don't know where to hook up the wires. I know it's been done, so someone please help. Hit me back. Thanks!

Um... doesn't your 99 mtx HAVE a tach? Why do you wanna install another? If you REALLY wanna, splice into the lines for the stock tach.

yes but the stock Tachs blow hardcore. They lag like crazy.

I perfer not to splice into stock line, don't want to jack anything up. And yes, the stock does suck. Friends don't let friends drive stock! Thanks for the suggestions though.

one way or another you going to have to pull the rpms and right signal from somewhere. those are the only place I know of. I tapped into the ecu. also used a msd tack booster thing.
