View Full Version : Where did my thread go?

I posted a thread about having trouble running a ford Tech CD in the Problems section, but now I cannot find it for the life of me. Was it deleted?
I realize the rules about "copyrighted material", but I didn't make any direct references to "I want to illegally copy this" or "This is where you burn this". If this is the rule I violated, I apologize. All I was looking for was some help in getting the CD to run.

Thats a slightly different matter. Usually post that don't add anything constructive or directly related to the original subject are frowned upon in the FS and TF threads.
Ex: Someone posts a thread about buying a burger from McDonalds. Someone posts in there saying "Dood, McDonalds sucks. My dog makes better food when he takes a crap." That type of thing doesn't belong in there. If you made a post like that and its gone now, thats why.

It was deleted because the board could be seriously screwed by Ford for passing that stuff out. I deleted the FS thread and yours asking how to fix it.
I'm sure a simple Google search would bring up the site that tells you how to correctly burn the CD. But to cover our collective asses it can't be discussed here.
If the CD's continue to fail then eBay would be a place to find working versions.

Thanks for the clarification, John. I wasn't really upset about it, just curious. In the past when I post something outside the "rules" someone shoots me a PM and lets me know "Hey, you know you can't say that". No big deal though, I was just confused when I couldn't find it.
I'm one of the candidates for AZ NECO Mod, so I've been really trying to be more "PC" on the forums and not prod where I shouldn't be, hoping it might show and I can get that Mod spot. Not sure if anyone's noticed or not, but I am trying!

Do you even have 5 active members in Arizona anymore?

Ha, it depends on when you ask. Sometimes we have only 3, but theres 3 more than chime in from time to time. Thats part of the problem with our Mod situation. Our current mod basically went AWOL on us without telling anyoneand we waited around for over two months to see what was happening. No one would say anything at all whenever someone would ask, and left us under the impression he would be back soon. So the person who in the past has kinda put together different things to get new members into the group isn't there. Thats what we're trying to accomplish by getting someone new in to get some things going for us and increase our numbers. I know I'm already working on business "recruiting" cards and updating the AZ NECO website, so hopefully we can get stuff going around here.
