Classifieds/For Sale

DO NOT:

• Post in any thread for which you have no intentions of buying the item(s).
• Post links to eBay auctions that are not yours. Other people here may be trying to bid on them and don't want a bidding war.

SELLERS:

• YOU MUST SET A PRICE. If you are unsure of a price, set what you think is a fair price & state "o.b.o." which means "or best offer".
• No "Gauging interest" threads. Only post when you are ready to sell parts. If it doesn't sell here try eBay (http://www.ebay.com) or Craigslist (http://www.craigslist.com).
• ITEM MUST BE CLEARLY DESCRIBED. Any scratches, defects or blemishes should be stated or pointed out in photos. If the item arrives in a condition not described in the thread, the buyer is entitled to a FULL REFUND.
• Sellers are to consider posts made in the original sale thread as a priority. Any PM's reguarding the item should only pertain to finalizing the transaction.
• If you are selling a high value item (bodykit, a/v equipment, etc.) take photos. You'll have better luck selling and less questions to answer plus less of a chance of the buyer to dispute an items condition.
• Use common sense when selling an item. Read the Transaction Feedback (http://www.newcougar.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=64) section and see to it your buyer has no outstanding issues. If a buyer is a newbie, request payment in full before shipping.
• Have the item ready to ship and provide a TRACKING NUMBER when the buyer makes payment. If you have stuff ready to sell then it should be ready to ship as well.

*Failure to abide by these rules will result in your thread being DELETED. In worse case scenarios you will have a tag under your username stating "Fraudulent Seller" and you will be blacklisted in the Transaction Feedback section.

BUYERS:

• If you have specific questions about an item you want to buy, please post it in the items thread so that all can see the answer. Do not PM the seller unless it's about the final transaction.
• If you plan on buying the item immediatly, state so in the thread. Do not place "dibs" on an item. You either plan to buy it or not.
• Use common sense when buying an item. Read the Transaction Feedback (http://www.newcougar.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=64) section and see to it the seller has no outstanding issues. If a seller is a newbie, try to confirm their legitimacy through members that are local to them.
• Pay within a reasonable amount of time. If you intend to buy something it should take you no longer than a week to pay the seller. If money is an issue in your life then take care of that before you buy stuff from here. Don't string along a seller because you live paycheck to paycheck.
• If you are a buyer who does NOT plan on buying an item from the seller, do not bash his price or say you can get it cheaper here. Not fair to the seller if he is trying to sell an item. PM him if you want to do that.

*Failure to abide by these rules will result in a tag under your username stating "Deadbeat Buyer" and you will be blacklisted in the Transaction Feedback (http://www.newcougar.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=64) section.

PREFERRED SELLING FORMAT:
Making your auction easy to read will help it sell quicker and ensure no problems arise when an item is recieved.

Thread title: "FS: Item 1, item 2..etc" or if you have a lot of stuff "FS: Stock parts, computer equip, car audio..."

Thread body: Desribe any useful info someone may need on why your selling and if it includes shipping or multiple item discounts.

Item listing:

Item 1: Description, extras, problems/defects, condition - $Price +shipping
Item 2: Description, extras, problems/defects, condition - $Price +shipping
Item 3: Description, extras, problems/defects, condition - $Price +shipping
..etc

Remember to use common sense when buying/selling. We can only do so much to protect you here so you have to cover your own ass as well. If you do encounter any problems with a transaction take it up through PM's & Email first, then the Transaction Feedback section and then look into mail fraud charges or any sort of insurance the shipping company provides.

If you don't follow the rules as a seller, your thread will be deleted. If you don't follow the rules as a buyer, your posts will be deleted and you will be issued a WARNING and then a STRIKE. After 3 strikes you are banned.
